Opk - highs but no peak

Hiya!

We have been ttc since coming off pill in Sept last year but this is first month using opk's.
Cycles are quite long/irregular so am on CD 31 now, have had high result on opk since Saturday but this morning it is fading again and no positive peak result. I was doing them at least twice a day over weekend.

Is it likely I missed my peak or does this mean I havnt ovulated? or any other ideas?!

Thanks

OPKs are not recommended to use if the menstrual cycle is irregular in nature. I would look into having blood tests done to see what your hormone levels are like. A day 2 test would be useful to check your LH level against that of FSH.

@Hannlou90 you are having the same issues as me. I posted yesterday but no one responded to mine. I came off the pill in January and have had a 74 day cycle and a 54 day cycle. I had a positive OPK last month around day 40. This month I watched a gradual darkening of the line and then a decline. Tested twice a day and don't think I've missed it. I'm not sure if it means;

A) I've ovulated but missed it.
B) my body is gearing up and will try again and I'm in for another long cycle
C) I won't ovulate but will have a period without ovulation.

Currently on day 30. Feeling absolutely miserable and quite 😔.

It's frustrating isn't it Confused. I thought I probably wasnt ovulating as had been negative so far, was excited to start getting darker lines then now I'm at a loss again! Took another one earlier and lighter again even more so, so not sure if I did miss the peak but I dint know!

With my son it only took 3 months and never used any opk or anything it just happened, so it's getting worrying now :(

It is frustrating having long cycles aswell feels like so much longer to wait weeks for everything!
