Hi everyone, I'm new to all this! I'm 34 and TTC first child Smile. Came off the pill 3 months ago and had breakthrough bleed + normal period since.

Hubby and I started TTC actively last month after 10 years on the pill. I'm charting my BBT every morning but my temp is all over the place. I had a positive opk on Friday with matching CM leading up to this and after. my temp rose on Saturday then has dropped and stayed low. I'm fairly certain I've ovulated because my CM has completely dried up yesterdayHmm.

Has anyone else had BBT charting drama? I often wake up to pee at night and I'm wondering if this is throwing my temp off. I'm thinking of getting the Ava watch to try instead. Any thoughts?

Hi @tinyole I don't temp but didn't want to ignore you I personally wouldn't waste money on Ava as it's such early days give it a few months just using apps/ temping if you get on with it and hopefully it will just happen x

Hey op it took a few months for me to get the hang of BBT. Mine is out of I don't get a couple of hours uninterrupted sleep, so it may be that. I can take mine any time of day after 2 hours sleep and the patretn stays the same, others can't. You have to work with it. It's also possible that you had a failed ovulation and that your body will try again soon. Coming off the pill xan mess your cycles right up

Hi @tinyole

As my mother would say mine were up and down like the hills of Donegal when I first started. I wasn’t coming off the pill but the sleep was affecting me too.

An alarm doesn’t work for me as I often wake up before my alarm. The advice was to try and wake as close to my time as possible. If it’s was more than before then record with a ? Or disregard. If I disregard these blips I am starting to see a pattern.

Hopefully you’ll start to see more of a pattern soon

@mrssunshinexxx @Whyhaveidonethis @poptypingchef thanks for the reply. I think I'm just super impatient so will give BBT charting a few more months before giving up on it. Appreciate your input Smile
