Hi @Russkispy I've just shared the details of my natural MC at a similar stage on the 35+ thread. Feel free to ask any questions at all xx

Lilimum7 · 09/08/2019 22:14

@Avocuddles are you able to post a link to that thread

@Lilimum7 beautiful rainbows 🌈 🤞this is your cycle.

@TinyPaws tentative congratulations hopefully it's just bub getting settled. Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months x

@Russkispy so so very sorry to hear this. Get some cocodamol and some thick pads. Plenty of fluids and sugar to keep you going. I think they recommended to me to go to A&E if I was going through a pad every hour repeatedly or if you can't manage pain or start to feel faint. Please take care of yourself Thanks

Russkispy · 09/08/2019 22:19

@fnej01 thank you so much! I had d&c twice and just don't know what to expect from natural miscarriage. Appreciate all your support!

ReeReeR · 09/08/2019 22:38

@Russkispy I’m so sorry this is happening. As you’ll know, I believe am miscarrying too, but much earlier (about 4.5 weeks). For me this is has been like a heavy period. I had mild cramps for about three days and then spotting on Tuesday followed by bleeding on Wednesday (heavier than af) then more like normal af yesterday and it’s tailing off today. The advice I got from gp and midwife was to take painkillers and go to A&E if pain or bleeding becomes more severe. Physically I feel normal today. I hope you’re ok x

Russkispy · 09/08/2019 22:54

@ReeReeR thank you for your input! And I'm sorry you're going though this too! Our EPU is closed tomorrow but open on Sunday. I'll go there then! I'm in bed and feeling ok. Millions of thoughts are going through my head right now and I don't even ask why this is happening to me. I'm 43 and perhaps my eggs are not good after all. And when we went through IVF in March and tested our embryo, it came back with trisomy in 18. Maybe that was a sign then. And maybe I should have gone for donor egg right there and then last month but it's too late to even mention it. At least we can say, we tried absolutely everything and anything now and even fell pregnant naturally. And it didn't work. And that's the way it is. Fair enough. And we won't try Naturally again. Donor egg is not an answer to all but believe it gives more chances. For now I need to go though this, get all my energy back, stay positive and on track and I WILL have my rainbow in the end!

Noisysparrows · 10/08/2019 06:37

@Russkispy very sorry to hear this. My most recent miscarriage was natural, a bit further on. Once the real bleeding started mine was over quite quickly - maybe an hour of real cramps, painful just before passing the sac/placenta but manageable with paracetamol, pain faded quickly after that. Everyone is different but wanted to reassure you that it isn't always physically awful. I hope you don't have too bad a time of it, sending you love.

@mrslaurenbrown if you're slightly earlier than your expected period it may be - am also in the mystery bleed boat as I wouldn't have expected AF for another week or two minimum and yesterday's bleed doesn't seem to have ramped up into anything. Just a case of sitting tight and waiting for a couple of days then testing again - fingers crossed for you.

Morning ladies. Only 9DPO so refusing to consider this a pregnancy yet but I think there's a definite squinter here....?

ReeReeR · 10/08/2019 09:07

I can see a line @Avocuddles - good for 9DPO 🙂

VenusStarr · 10/08/2019 09:17

I can see it @Avocuddles ❤️ 🤞 for you. Will you test again tomorrow or leave it a few days? X

How are you feeling today @Russkispy? ❤️

Avocuddles · 10/08/2019 09:21

@VenusStarr think I'll try to hold off until Monday. I'm supposed to start enoxaparin injections as soon as I'm pregnant so if I still have a strong line by Wednesday (4 weeks) then I'll start them again and give the hospital a call. We have DHs mum and aunt and uncle staying with us tonight, they know about the MC and fertility issues so I'm going to play the 'can't drink because we're waiting for some blood tests' card. I'm veering between excited and terrified. This is the second time I've tested positive the day after being referred to the fertility clinic!

Catconfusion · 10/08/2019 09:36

@Avocuddles it's such good news. My fertility appointment came through the day after I got my bfp. My doctor has advised me to keep it just in case. Hopefully neither of will need any other help! Xx

Avocuddles · 10/08/2019 09:38

@Catconfusion yes I'm definitely going to keep it this time! Fingers crossed neither of us will need it though x

VenusStarr · 10/08/2019 09:38

I'm tentatively excited for you @Avocuddles. Really hoping this is your rainbow 🌈 good you have a distraction this weekend x

fnej01 · 10/08/2019 09:50

@Avocuddles oooh I see a line. Tentative congratulations- here is to a happy and healthy 9 months x

Catconfusion · 10/08/2019 09:56

Arh I hope so @Avocuddles it just goes to show it's harder with irregular cycles but it can be done! Xx

Russkispy · 10/08/2019 10:01

@VenusStarr thank you for asking. Spent a bit of time on the toilet yesterday and felt quite a bit of clots slipped out. No cramps. Had a hot water bottle on my back and a couple of paracetamol. Slept heavily without any pain. It feels like a heavy period. Is there anything else to expect in terms of shedding clots? Etc just don’t know how this works! In fact I'm a work now, working in a small local hospital. Thought if anything goes bad/painful I'll get a doctor from here. Got paracetamol and hot water bottle with me. Physically and emotionally I'm ok. Spoke with my coordinator from fertility clinic last night, and feeling ok. I have my plan B once things are back to normal here

Russkispy · 10/08/2019 10:01

@Avocuddles tentative congratulations! Everything crossed for you!

Avocuddles · 10/08/2019 10:27

Glad you're feeling ok @Russkispy. Re clotting I had a couple of big clots which I'm pretty sure were the sac and placenta, then another random one about ten days later. Other than that it was just like a heavy period, and not particularly painful. Hope your symptoms end soon, though sounds like you're in the right place x

Russkispy · 10/08/2019 10:32

@Avocuddles thank you for replying. Much appreciated!

Mistymeow · 10/08/2019 10:33

@Avocuddles ooh that looks exciting! Fingers firmly crossed :)

@Russkispy hope you’re ok. It’s good that your work is based in a hospital and that you have a plan b to focus on. Bleeding during a miscarriage can differ from woman to woman. There could be some more clots to come including the sac, although when I was 10 weeks I didn’t notice when I passed mine (sorry to be graphic). Or it could be like a heavy period, and it could stop and start for a few weeks. I really hope the next step results in your much wanted baby x

fnej01 · 10/08/2019 10:39

@Russkispy glad that you are doing ok and managed to get some rest last night. This might be TMI but I have always found I have known when I pass the sac, it was very different than some of the other big clots, more solid. I did find mc's stop and start a little. As others have said once the sac is passed I have found bleeding to be largely like a period. Glad you have the distraction of work, but if you start to bleed heavily again go home and put your feet up x

Russkispy · 10/08/2019 10:43

@Mistymeow thank you. Felt quite a bit of clots slipping out last night when sitting on the toilet for a while. Hardly any bleeding today. Not even filling the pad. Although I can feel a lingering pain in my back on the right hand side as felt it last night. But anyway, no point to dwell on about it. Everything will be fine in the end

VenusStarr · 10/08/2019 12:08

I admire your approach to this awful situation @Russkispy. I also felt when I passed my baby, it did feel different to the other clots. For me I had a few hours of contractions then lighter bleeding for a few days. Glad you work in a hospital, just in case. I know you're working but please make sure you do rest too xxx ❤️
