@mrslaurenbrown sorry you have found yourself here, you have been through so much and it's perfectly normal to feel low. I miscarried in May and am definitely having ups and down. It took 11 months for me to conceive so I'm now having equal worries about not being able to get pregnant, or getting pregnant again and having another loss. I'm over 35 so am also conscious of time, but I've seen lots of encouraging stories from older first time mums on here which have put my mind at ease a little.
I hope your rainbow baby comes along sooner rather than later, and in the meantime if you have any questions or just need a good rant / cry, the ladies here will all be there for you x

@Avocuddles @ReeReeR @TwittleBee @Mistymeow thank you all so much for your kind words it means a lot. I do have support at home from my husband and family. What's making it worse is I'm stuck at the moment in a job I hate whilst ttc so it's not even as though I'm going to somewhere 9-5 that I enjoy to take my mind off it x

Lilimum7 · 06/08/2019 19:37

OK ladies I'm back from my appointment. It was a bit disappointing tbh. Tests all came back completely normal with exception to my AMH level being low at 5.2 (would not be considered a good candidate for Ivf) but not menopausal yet. No answers for my losses but I feel that I can truely try this cycle ( tonight 😁) and not worry that my body is going to cause another mc if we were lucky enough to be blessed again. DH is fretting now that it's his fault. So I took him out for a steak to take his mind off it.

OK I did attach a picture to my last post but it appears that MN isn't working I'll try again with this one. I got a blazing positive LH strip and clearblue is smiling so it's go time lol

Opps pics have now appeared sorry ladies lol something going on with MN today it's multiplied posts and messing up pics

Lilimum7 · 06/08/2019 19:58

While I'm on the subject of opks. I've read that you ovulate 12 - 36 hours after a positive, but a positive opk reflects hormones from several hour earlier ( read somewhere online that it take several hours for the surge to show up in a urine test). So my question is at the time of a positive opk does that mean your already well into the 24 hours before ovulation or am I talking out of my butt lol

VenusStarr · 06/08/2019 20:03

Hi @Lilimum7, sorry you didn't feel the appointment was that helpful. Are you due to go back?
Glad you've got your positive opk. I used them this cycle but didn't quite get a strong positive. My temperature rise happened the morning after, so around 12 hours later. But I think I have a short surge.
Glad you and dh have been out for dinner together. Hopefully this is your cycle 🍀 xx

Avocuddles · 06/08/2019 20:08

Evening @Lilimum7 sorry your appointment wasn't that helpful. Do you know what the next steps are or is it a case of keeping trying naturally and see what happens?

Good news re the positive opk! I know what you mean re timing. My theory (and that of SMEP) is to try to BD on the day you get the positive, and again the next day, then all bases are covered!

I think I'm probably out this month. I'm 5-6 DPO but my temps and heart rate don't seem to be rising much which I'm guessing implies that I haven't actually ovulated this cycle? It's my first month of temping mind you so don't entirely know what I'm doing other than disturbing DH at around 5.30am each morning when I wake needing a wee and frantically try to take my temperature before I move anywhere! I was so sleepy this morning that when I went to input the temperature into my app I managed to get my password wrong multiple times and wipe my iPhone, whoops! Thankfully it had backed up overnight so several hours later normal service was resumed....! Blush

Rumi1 · 06/08/2019 20:30

Evening all ,

Excited for you @Lilimum7 to get your positive OPK

Quite shocked that they thought your AMH was low at 5.2 . Unless I've missed something most women measure 2-3 at ages 25-36 ... see my pic below .. unless your test is in different measurements

Sorry the appointment wasn't helpful x x

I'm anxious about trying again - like you I'm keen to know answers . And I'm not used to being out of control ... my body developing a baby is the only thing I cannot control and it makes me so sad and frustrated

But onwards and upwards for you ...

Let's keep smiling ladies

My RMC appt is in 6 weeks hopefully by then i would have had a normal period x

fnej01 · 06/08/2019 20:30

@Lilimum7 sorry that you didn't get any answers for your losses. However, the positive is that there are no clinical reasons that your next pregnancy shouldn't be a success. Have they offered you anything like progesterone for a future pregnancy? Will they see you again once pregnant? Opk looking good JKS time x

Lilimum7 · 06/08/2019 21:27

@fnej01 omg lol I forgot about the "jks" term we started using.
@Rumi1 @Avocuddles @VenusStarr Yeah the plan is just keep trying naturally and if I get a bfp to call rmc to arrange an early scan, start asprin and progesterone pessaries. So fingers crossed

Lilimum7 · 06/08/2019 21:28

@Rumi1 where did you get this from I'd like to read the whole thing tia

Rumi1 · 06/08/2019 22:09

@Lilimum7 fingers all crossed for you my lovely

As for the article on the AMH measurements- I cannot post the link :-(
But it's on a website called flo health ( also a fertility app that I used )... hope that's helps

TwittleBee · 07/08/2019 14:07

Ah good luck Lilimum ! Nice OPKs there. Sorry that yo udidnt get any answers as such but hopefully that can be taken as good news and isnt your DH!

If you want to share what you chart looks like we could take a look Avocuddles ? Does the app your using suggest you did Ovulate still though? Only needs to be a small rise - Mine rises a tiny bit, drops, rises back up and then stays flat from 3dpo till AF

End off my first postpartum period today so back to charting for me

Avocuddles · 07/08/2019 15:04

Thanks for your offer @TwittleBee - chart attached! Would be interested to know how it compares to others....

I'm going to the GP on Friday to hopefully have my fertility clinic referral reinstated. Would just love to know where I stand!

TwittleBee · 07/08/2019 15:13

I don't think it looks too unlike how my charts look actually Avocuddles and I know I do ovulate as my cycles are like clock work really. Hope you have some luck finding out what's your position

Russkispy · 07/08/2019 15:14

Had my scan this morning and I'm measured now 6w4d and consultant wasn't worried about that at this stage. We saw a heartbeat! But consultant told me I have relatively large yolk sac. I don't even know what that means?! Good, bad, ugly? I kept asking him. He said it's large than normal and he will rescan me in 2 weeks time. Despite seeing the HB I left deflated because of enlarged yolk sac as nobody really confirms good or bad news. Everything else looked absolutely fine. Has any of you experienced that? Do you know who did? What does it all mean? Walking away, thinking, bloody hell, nothing ever is straight forward! On the flip side , the brown discharge/bleed/spotting completely stopped yesterday morning.

Avocuddles · 07/08/2019 17:12

@Russkispy no idea re the enlarged yolk sac but congratulations on the heartbeat, that's a great start.

@TwittleBee thanks for your reply, that definitely reassures me somewhat. I wasn't temping (or indeed properly 'trying') at the point I fell pregnant as I was awaiting fertility treatment and didn't think I was capable of conceiving naturally after an unsuccessful year, so I don't know what my temps would have looked like then. I was however wearing my fitbit daily and saw (in retrospect) a clear rise in my resting heart rate when I fell pregnant which isn't happening at the moment so I'm feeling pretty sure it's going to be another BFN month.
I hope you don't have to wait long for your BFP and rainbow x

Lilimum7 · 08/08/2019 08:48

I'm feeling just a bit smug this morning ladies. My chart looks like a definite ovulation, that hasn't happened in months. I just a bit proud of my ovulating skills right now 😁 😊

Catconfusion · 08/08/2019 08:56

Wow @Lilimum7 that looks perfect to me. What a relief for you. Good luck with this cycle! Xx

ReeReeR · 08/08/2019 09:52

So I have a bit great update.... I was having mild cramps for a few days, which in themselves were probably not a big issue, hen started spotting on Tuesday. Yesterday woke up to af type bleeding and that’s where I am now so think this was a very early MC / chemical

I’m ok and back to join you lovely ladies. I wasn’t gone long was I?! I am missing my daughter. It’s coming up to six months since we lost her and this doesn’t help but I’m trying to see it as a late AF and this just wasn’t our month.

I’m hoping this doesn’t mess my cycle up even more and I’m hoping to start TTC again this month after bleeding fully stops, which I think is ok?

How is everyone else?

ReeReeR · 08/08/2019 09:52

I meant not great update...

Lilimum7 · 08/08/2019 10:13

@ReeReeR I'm sorry to hear your news hun. Better luck this cycle. I can't imagine how you must be feeling with regards to your beautiful little girl. Sending you hugs xx

ReeReeR · 08/08/2019 10:15

Thanks @Lilimum7

Hope you are ok. Good news on the ovulating front!
