Hi I've been doing alot of reading around brands and have seen lots of Conflicting info.

Are Asda tests reliable in your experience? Thanks in advance x

What type of test? Blue due, pink dye, digital? And are you worried about a false positive or a false negative?

Ashkayyyy · 30/06/2019 01:56

A false positive I'm worried about. Its pink dye x

The freedom £1 asda tests are awful, always show a faint line. I got my first bfp on an asda 2 for £3.50 tests but they've changed the casing since and I had a faint line on one and wasn't pregnant and so I'm unsure how realiable they are now.

I've decided to only use frer tests so will only test if / when af is late from now on.

I used asda for all three of my pregnancies because they were cheap. Never had a false positive. I also used cheap Ebay ones, too. X

I'm so disheartened right now.
Basically I used the £1 freedom test for the positive that I got on Friday morning. Now 2 days on and I have my 3rd bfn using the Asda £3.50 (I used this over my FRRR test because I read that the sensitivity of the FRRR is like 100 whereas its 25 for the asda cheapie and 6.5 FRER).

:(

I never had any issues at all with the freedom test. I tracked my falling hcg after miscarriage with them and they were great. No positive line when my hcg levels went below 25 and it was confirmed with blood work. So they worked for me x

Ashkayyyy · 30/06/2019 09:46

Hmmmm possibly the freedom test has a higher sensitivity?

Iv had a false positive on an Asda test, faint pink line, took another brands test & wasn’t pg, but I think it will depend the strength of the line. When I got a BFP (unfortunately ended in a chemical pregnancy) it showed as a darker line on the Asda & a faint line on another.
Fingers crossed for you !

Mummyofboysx · 30/06/2019 09:56

I'd try again in a few days as a just incase. Hope it is positive. Sending best wishes x

Ashkayyyy · 30/06/2019 10:08

@celebelly omg thats probably what it is. It's probably a false positive. 😭😭😩

I've had 2 positives on these yesterday and I'm pretty sure they're false although lines are both pink! Awful tests x
