TTC #1 - third cycle and already struggling emotionally

Hello!

Okay so with a little more background so I don't sound like a crazy person!

2 years ago myself and my ex partner started ttc. Within 2 cycles I fell pregnant (although I didn't actually find out until 7 weeks as I have very irregular periods). sadly I miscarried at 13 weeks and am no longer with this partner.

Fast forward a year and a half and have now made the decision with my current partner. Started ttc end of April and have since had my second AF arrive yesterday. I'm finding it so much harder this time round and can't help but feel so emotional. I know it's a long process for anyone and I should be prepared for it to possibly be even longer for myself but I just can't seem to keep spirits up.

I'm hoping that talking to others and helping you all will help me stay positive and less of a crazy woman with each AF that arrives 🙈.

@Makingawish Amazing, we can be 2WW buddies! :)
I've been mostly going on my Flo app and I usually get mild cramping and increased CM around 2 weeks after AF has finished! We just try and make sure we're DTD every other day in the week leading up and after just in case!

@LorraineG90 We usually just DTD every other day in the 10 day fertile period but we’re trying more alone the Sperm Meets Egg Plan this month so 🤞

@makingawish I've seen people mention about this Sperm Meets Egg Plan and wasn't sure what it was, I'm going to have to do a bit of research to understand it! Fingers crossed it works for you this month!

@LorraineG90 from what I’ve read it’s not THAT much different from DTD just every other day through your whole cycle 🤷‍♀️

@LorraineG90 exactly the same boat as you! TTC #1 on our third cycle and I'm on CD12. Been D2D the past few nights, luckily my husband is a willing participant!

I have regular 29 day cycles but did some OPKs last month and they were always negative which just got me down so much and make me really anxious that maybe I just don't ovulate at all. I've done two the last two days and the same, wondering whether they're unnecessarily going to stress me out and I should just get rid?!

Everyone got nice plans for this weekend? X

Totally relate! I haven't tried the ovulation sticks yet cos I'm worried for me that its just another thing to get obsessed and panic over! (You should see how many pregnancy tests I've gotten through over these 2 months 😬) Do you ever get mild cramping or CM around your predicted ovulation?

I'm off to Bristol for the day to meet up for food and shopping with a friend! What about everyone else? 😊

Ditto on the OPKs, I bought some but I'm not sure how good they are (not the sticks themselves but rather on me seeing them negative).

@Makingawish I'm on the Flo app too! How are you finding it?

I think I get to know my results on Monday/Tuesday with the blood tests. Should definitely be interesting! Fingers crossed for the all clear and nothing is wrong, or if there is something then that it's easy to fix ha!

10 weeks now since last AF Shock , my cycle is all over the place!

This weekend, I'm going to try get some house bits and bobs done and clutter-free it all a bit. Rain predicted all weekend, so a bit of chores and a good excuse for a glass of red and a good book or film in the evening for some downtime.

@sojo44 I like Flo for predicting AF because it’s what I’ve used for years but I also use PreMom and Ovia to predict with ovulation and what stages of my cycle I’m at which is more helpful!

@LorraineG90 hope you had a lovely time in Bristol! I usually get EWCM around the middle of my cycle but then I often get it later on too so I don't really know!

I don't get much sleep as I'm up early every day so usually get just under 6 hours which I'm not sure is helping so I think I might try to get a bit more sleep as I read that can help with ovulating.

@sojo fingers crossed for your results, hope you've managed to have a relaxing day.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and are all having a relaxing Sunday! AF didn’t show when I thought it would last week and was due yesterday but still not here. I don’t know what to do. I’m of the mindset that I probably just ovulated later than I thought but I'm not sure. I’m to scared to test haha

@madaleinerw I know what you mean, last month I tested when I was a day late and the exact moment I tested was when AF arrived 😂 I definitely jinxed it.

@emmalou19 I've always had EWCM during what I think is ovulation too, but last month I did have it twice..it's all just so confusing isn't it! It's so weird how some people get pregnant so quickly and easily but it's actually all quite complicated!

I’ve just found out that one of our wedding guests fell pregnant at my wedding. Trying not to feel like it’s a kick in the teeth for me! 😖

I'm 3DPO and starting to get a bit too into Googling symptoms again 🙈😂😬 Really trying to chill out and just go with the flow as best I can!

@LorraineG90 hey! So yes, I tested Thursday morning and got my positive Smile. I still can't quite believe it to be honest and I am super nervous and on edge.

The body just never lets up in worrying does it! Constantly in fear of a repeat of last time.

How are all of you ladies? Please take my positive as a bit in encouragement! It will happen I promise you! That said, if someone told me that this time last month I'd have told them where to shove it Grin.

I'm feeling kinda positive this month - I'm sure it will happen soon for us all! I have a job interview for a promotion this Thursday so it's at least something to temporarily distract me during the 2WW!

How has the 2 week wait been for everyone? Has anyone tested?
I haven't taken a test yet (AF due Friday) but have had very few symptoms this month so not feeling too optimistic..

@LorraineG90 AF was due on Sunday and had a bit of spotting but it never came, so tested yesterday and got my BFP. I had assumed I was out for this cycle so I was, and still am, in shock!
