One BFP and one BFN (different brands) -am I pregnant or not?

TTC DC2 for a little while now. Had spotting around 8 days after ovulation and period is 5 days overdue. No other symptoms.

Did a Clearblue test this morning (around 10am) and was quite definitely positive (didn't take a picture and now the line has gone away as indicated on the test). Did a Sainsbury test this afternoon (not sure why even) and it's shown as negative. I thought false positives are very rare (and it was very clearly positive - my DH thought so too).

Do I just have to wait and see now? anyone had a similar experience?

Sainsbury’s tests are pretty rubbish to be honest.
Try an FRER with a red dye which is more reliable.
You’re right in saying false positives are rare though so fingers crossed for you!

Your urine maybe a lot more diluted in the afternoon than this morning - agree with PP try a FRER x

Took another test yesterday which was positive (faint but positive).
Woke up this morning with cramps and light spotting (brown) and now red bleeding. I either got a very late period or might be miscarrying. So sad.

Sadly, I had a miscarriage today 😢

So sorry to hear this, sounds like a Chemical Pregnancy. I had one this month too and it’s so disheartening. Hopefully the next one will stick x
