Waiting until 2020 TTC Thread!

Hello to any wannabe time travellers over the next year! Is anyone here waiting until 2020 to TTC for whatever reason?
Me and DP are so ready for a baby after a miscarriage earlier this year but so many things are standing in the way.
We get married next summer and my lovely mother has already bought by dress so I can't exactly get pregnant and not be able to fit in it! We are currently relocating for DP's job so with both of us having new jobs, maternity pay/leave is an issue.
Feels like everything is against us!

Looks like we won't be able to start trying until July next year (this is to avoid the due date being around busy season in accountancy for DP!)

Is anyone in the same boat? Come and join me and we can moan together!

Name: Charlotte
Age: 23

Hoping to start TTC July 2020!

Hi I would like to join you :) we have been ttc since March 2017 but no joy so now having to loook at IVF. I have to get my weight down though to be eligible hence the wait :)

Islandermum · 24/06/2019 21:44

That's a great goal to have for a diet! I could do with losing some weight during this gap in TTC!

Oh good more people actively waiting! DH and I have been married for three and a half years now. We're in the south right now, but are looking to relocate up to Scotland. He's actively looking for work (had his first interview last Friday) and I'm hoping work will let me keep my job as a distance position...

I'm suuuuuper broody (incluisve of infinite dreams about mine and other peoples' babies) but don't want to have our first child so far removed from people's support. DH is lovely and says he's happy to start whenever, but keep reminding me why I don't want to start yet.

Meantime, seeing if I can get back into better eating habits, get my weight down somewhat. I've still got my copper coil in, which does cause additional grump when I'm at my crampy times. I also gets insanely conflicted about it. Part of me wants to start now because we have no guaranee how long it will take.

I totally understand those feelings! You just never know how long it will take but you wouldn't be waiting if there weren't valid reasons for it! Its so hard to hold off when you want a baby so badly!

Also waiting!

Going to have my implant taken out in August to give things time to settle into some sort of cycle. Very tempted to start TTC straight away but for work reasons this would be a terrible idea!

Age: 27 (nearly 28)
DH 32 and even more impatient than I am
TTC #1
Should be sensible and wait till April 2020

Soooo we're still in waiting mode, but DH has some interviews the next few weeks. In discussions, we landed on waiting until after Christmas before we start trying. I realised if one of these jobs comes through, our notice month will fly by with us frantically packing everything, followed by unpacking for probably another month or so...

With the leave we have planned for Christmas, I'll only have a few weeks of waiting where I won't be distracted in eighteen different directions!

As such I've been taking folic acid and some other vitamins (why not) and working on eating better. How are you all getting on?
Age: 30 (31 in Oct)
DH: 27
TTC: #1
Start date: January 2020 maybe?!?

Hi everyone and good luck on your TTC journeys!

I’m planning on TTC around March time. Possibly later. A few things standing in the way at the moment. Saving for a mortgage, started new job as a midwife etc etc
I also have endometriosis which has been helped by the coil. Which is now lost! So another hospital appointment and hysteroscopy to try and get that removed!

I have 2 kids already. 4 and 6! X

Sorry forgot to add
I am 26 partner 34
Baby number 3 for me. Number 1 for him!

Just noticed this thread a few months after OP started it but this is 100% me! Hope you are still hanging there with the wait!

We're planning to buy our first home and the new year so waiting until after that to TTC #1! 2020 shaping up to be a busy year...

Makes me nervous waiting when I know it could take ages when we finally get to it, but will be worth it if we can be nice and settled first.

I've just turned 27 and DH is 26, so hopefully we've got time! Grin

Have come off the pill to let my cycles get back to normal in the meantime, and starting on the folic acid & vitamin D just in case.

Can't wait to hear how you guys get on! X

Hey,

This is my first post, but we are also planning to TTC in 2020, probably from April onwards due to a few other things we have going on at the moment. Feel like the whole TTC thing is a bit of a minefield from reading threads on here but nice to know their will be other going through the same journey.

I am 26 and my partner is 27 and we will be TTC our first baby. xx
