Does folic acid ‘assist with’ ovulation?

Hi Girls

I started talking folic acid roughly 2 weeks ago as I decided if I’m serious about TTC I should prepare for when it does happen.

I got an almost positive OPK on Thursday, and then a what I’d say is a ‘true positive’ Friday, Saturday and again this morning. Also on Tuesday and Wednesday I had clearly visible lines on the OPK but still fainter than a positive, so I could tell ovulation was on its way.

This is completely unusual for me. In fact last month was the first time I actually caught a ‘true positive’ on an ovulation stick. I caught it in the morning before work then I tested again after work (around 7 hours later) and it was gone. I had a faint line on an OPK for one day before catching that.
I was testing every day for a few MONTHS prior to that and never caught anything more than a faint line.

Also, I genuinely wasn’t going op test this month but I got EWCM for the first time ever on Tuesday! Then I noticed it again on Thursday too. I do get ‘wet’ around the time I would expect to ovulate as well as white discharge but I’ve never had EWCM before!

Im just thinking what is going on as this is so unusual for me then I started to think maybe the folic acid has something to do with it?

Would anyone care to share their thoughts or even just what their normal ovulation pattern is as I’m interested to know Smile

Folic acid doesn't assist ovulation at all, it only aids development after conception. I don't test for my ovulation but I can assume its happening because my CM changes throughout the month and I'm definitely wetter (sorry TMI) for a few days a month. I'm going to start temping next month as I believe that is a more reliable way to track cycles. Good luck xx
