Question about the morning after pill

I have taken the morning after pill this morning (my dp of 8 years and I were using a condom but it broke) I have looked at my Flo tracking app and it says I was ovulating yesterday.
I read online the morning after pill works to postpone ovulation, as I've already ovulated will it do anything for me or be completely useless in helping me to avoid pregnancy at this point? Sad

I read that it prevents the fertilised egg from attaching to the uterus hun. I think the failure rate of the morning after pill would be a lot higher if all it did was postpone ovulation. Smile

I had to take the morning after pill once when I was 18 but no idea if there was a real risk of pregnancy because I had no idea about ovulating at certain times of your cycle back then!

Thank you @CatLover210 for your reply, I read on the NHS website about it preventing ovulation, thank goodness it also prevents fertilisation as you've stated. Just have to wait and see now! Shock
