How long did implantation cramps last for you?

Hey guys. I only posted yesterday but as I am so desperate to be pregnant again I am seeking further support 😕

I found out yesterday I am pregnant with a faint BFP however I am only 12 dpo and have been having strong period type cramps, non stop for two days. There has been no blood and no spotting.

I do have other symptoms of pregnancy such as sore boobs faint nausea from time to time and I am knackered! However these cramps are giving me the fear.

Everything I read seems to make out implantation cramp just comes and goes briefly. This just feels like period pain.

Xxx

I think implantation cramps are unusual. Could it be your actual ovulation?

How do you mean minibunz? I ovulated 12 days ago and my cycle is not always the same but on average 31 days so would be due period on Monday however I’ve had a positive pregnancy test both yesterday and today. Although the line was faint but I think that’s normal in early pregnancy. X

I'm experiencing exactly the same. It's terrifying isn't it. A friend who has had 2 children said that it's completely normal as implantation happens. It's if it is a sharp pain and or bleeding you need to worry.

Thanks @fluffybottom it really is so horrible. I have a three year old and I don’t remember cramps with her. I also had a miscarriage and I never had this.

I’m just concerned as it’s not going away. Then I read some things that reassure me when I see that I have no bleeding, I still have other symptoms and my test is still positive.

I’m hoping if I do another test in the morning it will be a darker line 🤞🤞

What are your cramps like? Mine are very low and central and just a really dull ache that just won’t seem to go away x

I had slight bleed with both children at the beginning but no pain from what I remember ...

GingerRogers84 · 22/06/2019 17:34

I remember being a bit scared of period type cramps around the time of my missed period. Now have a healthy child! 😊

fluffybottom · 22/06/2019 17:37

@Scoy yes exactly the same. Dull ache that's central. Bit of back ache. It's not the same as period pains but similar. I'm 4 weeks. My friend said it might be adhesions from surgery/endometriosis unsticking and a bit of ligament stretching. Did you have a c-section with your others?

I'm seeing my GP on weds so will mention it then.

Also before I tested, I exclaimed to DH that I was having weird cramps and could feel the outline of my womb and ovaries. Weirdest feeling. That must have been implantation.

5 YEARS LATER UPDATE

i started this thread 5 years ago and I just hope that this reaches one person and gives some reassurance. I have a super healthy and happy 4 year old now so that pregnancy with all the bad period cramps really was a healthy pregnancy!!!!

TTC now for my 3rd and I knew I had posted something similar all that time ago and I’ve been searching all day. ❤️
