TTC After Miscarriage. Advice Please??

Hello, looking for some advice please from people that are going through or have gone through a similar situation. Two weeks ago, I found out I was pregnant. I was thrilled, as was my lovely Fiancé. Then a few days ago the worst happened and I have now miscarried.

We are keen to try again straight away and my GP has said that as soon as the bleeding has stopped and I feel ready there is no reason why I shouldn't start TTC again.

I am of course now very nervous of history repeating itself but if I never try I'll never know and really need some advice from anyone who has been in a similar position with any advice on how to conceive so soon after miscarriage.

I can't really offer any advice but in the same place we miscarried 17/5 as soon as my bleeding stopped (only had 3 days of it) we started again. Didn't fall pregnant but I've just had my first period since the MC so full on back trying. Be kind to yourself and your partner and ensure mentally you're both ready and strong enough x

So sorry to hear about your loss! I had a MMC in March at 5 1/2 weeks pregnant- broke my heart. Like yourself we were told we could try again soon as but to make sure we had AF first.
I had 2 AF since MC and got BFP again.. I am now 6+2 and trying a relaxed approach this time but still get anxious thoughts.

I found taking pregancre conception helped my BBT temps to regulate alittle and that was the cycle I conceived.. they might not have been the reason I caught that month but would recommend trying them.

Wishing you lots of luck and sticky beans 💕💕💕🌈

My advice would be to wait for a period. It's totally up to you but it's such a traumatic thing to happen so physically and emotionally you might need more time than you think. I tried straight away and had a chemical pregnancy. It was much earlier on as a missed miscarriage the first time at 12 weeks but having two back to back is truly traumatising. The nurse at the hospital said to me that anyone trying has the chance of a mc so its important to feel like you could deal with it if it happened again. It probably won't but there's no way to know for sure. I also felt a lot better after AF had come, like it reset everything. I'm sorry for your loss and good luck! xx

Hi all,
I had a chemical at the end of April then conceived before my next period and had an early misc at 6+2 so 2 losses in two cycles and it absolutely tore me apart. As desperate as I am to have a successful pregnancy I now know it’s probably best to wait one period before TTC again. My GP has also told me that if I were to conceived again before a period it’s more likely to end in a misc, not sure how true that is though!
Good luck and I hope you’re okay x

I'm so sorry @amiejb25 and having been through something similar I completely agree. I think a study came out showing that if women conceive within 6 months they're more likely to have a healthy pregnancy. Some doctors quote this when saying it's fine to try again straight away. The problem is there can be so many complications in the immediate aftermath a pregnancy achieved straight away seems to be more at threat. Having at least one AF gives the body and mind a chance to recover. I know so many people who've had two back to back mcs it must be a more likely outcome. I really hope you get your rainbow soon! 🌈 xx
