Positive pregnancy test not getting darker

Hello,
I got my first positive pregnancy test on Wednesday. I've taken a couple more since then. It's not Saturday and the positive line doesn't seem so be any darker. Should I be worried?
I did a digital clear blue on Wednesday and it said pregnant 1-2

@chloew1924 Hey, first congratulations!!! 🍾 (alcohol free 😉)
Secondly a bit of tough love but STOP testing! Just going to drive you insane and cost you a bunch! Sometimes test don't go darker, could be loads of reason like how concentrated your wee when you tested etc. Just let the test go and enjoy your pregnancy xx

@CZFR thank you for replying. I'm so paranoid haha, I know I should stop. Think it might be a good idea for me to throw all of my spare tests away so I'm not tempted❤️

I've never found lines to get darker reliably apart from on a FRER. Unless you're using those I wouldn't take any notice of the strength of the line x

@yellowblueorange thank you, hopefully everything is fine then x

Honestly OP this has happened to me and it was a chemical pregnancy. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best. I hope it's different for you Brew

@itscallednickingbentcoppers thank you that's what I was worried about. I've got my fingers crossed that it's not

I got my BFP on 2nd January after a chemical pregnancy in October (I’m 30w tomorrow). I took one test like yours which showed a line & another digital one the same day which said 5+ weeks pregnant (we weren’t TTC & I ovulated early). Mum mum kept asking me to do more tests but I drove myself crazy in October & it ultimately didn’t change anything. So my advice would be to step away from the tests! You’ve had consistent lines, not lighter lines like I had in October so take that as a really good, positive sign. Wishing you lots of luck!

I've had this happen to me and I had positive tests for about 16 days then turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. However, this time I tried to take tests less often...one week had a line like yours, about 8 days later tested again and it was negative...now 26 weeks pregnant. Please try not to obsess over testing (easier said than done), it doesn't really help!

But actually they ARE getting darker not dramatically, but they really are. Stop testing, you're pregnant!

chloew1924 · 23/06/2019 09:56

Thank you everyone, I'm going to try and stop testing now

Just a quick update. I ended up doing another test today because I wanted to prepare myself for the worst but it's so much darker today. I'm much more hopeful now and don't feel I need to any more
