Period type pains !!?

So today and yesterday I've been having tummy cramps exactly like period pains!! I'm worried that this isn't normal !!?? It would be around the time my period would be due !? Has anyone else had the same !??

I'm 8 weeks but early scan last week said I was showing at 6 weeks xx

I got cramps all through my first pregnancy like that. I also got shooting pains right down into my last parts. I remember feeling worried but I was told it's all the ligaments etc starting to stretch and prepare. Obviously keep an eye on it - are you seeing a midwife soon? I think the only major worry is if there's any bright red fresh blood. X
