I have been temping a while and I usually take it at 6am every day..

This morning I woke up at 4.30am and took my temp 36.01
I went to the toilet and then went back to sleep.. I then woke up and took it at 7.30 (3hrs later) and it was 36.68

Which temo would you record? I know neither was on time but I need to record one..?

I'm no expert either but I've read a lot about it and I'd say always record the 1st but mark as questionable if too early/late so can exclude from the pattern :) hope that helps

You should record the 4.30 one I think but I wouldn't worry too much either way - just treat it as a blip. I would probably use the one that best fit the normal pattern and my cycle day x

I'd use the one that best fit the pattern too. If both were anomalous I'd mark it as discarded

@Whyhaveidonethis @BaweB @Abi58
Thank you for your response.

Neither particularly fit my usual pattern.. the 4.30 one was really low (maybe ovulation) and the 7.30 one was really high. So I am none the wiser.
I am hoping the 4.30 one was closer as it means I may have ovulated and I have irregular cycles so that would be great news!

This morning it was 36.55 at normal time which is just above my usual pre- O temps. So fingers crossed the 4.30 one showed Ovulation and today's was the first day of post O spike!

I would say try not to obsess over the one temperature: if you did ovulate then that will become clear over the next few days with the temperatures you take then. Good luck!x
