So I started the pill 5 days ago I had sex after taking the pill for 3 days, it's the mini pill but I haven't been taking it at the same time everyday as I didn't know I should take it at the same time everyday. I'm so worried in case I get pregnant, I get pregnant very easily! Am I just worry to much? Help.....

@underthe I would go and get the morning after pill from the chemist just to be sure. I'm think most pills only start working after a week but also depends on what time of your cycle you are in

You can take the Ella one pill up to 5 days after unprotected sex (more effective the sooner you take it) you can have the copper coil fitted also as a method of emergency contraception. Here is a link to the nhs site with information. Not sure if you are from the uk. However the site is still useful :)

If you started the pill whilst on your period, it's effective immediately.

What brand is your pill? Some don't need to be taken at the same time each day.

Cerezette has a 12 hour window, so you don't need to take it the same time each day, just within the same 12 hour window every day, like the combined pill.
