TTC following depot injection

Its now been 12 months since I had depot injection, I have only had that one.
Prior to that I was on combined pill for many years.
I have had no periods or any spotting yet, absolutely nothing.
We are wanting to have our first baby.
What are people's experiences post depot?

TIA
Sarah

From my own research and dr's advice it can be up to 2 years for periods to return to normal. Although I know someone who conceived the same month as her last depot ran out.

I’m waiting for mine to come back too. Last injection was start of January. I’m hoping it won’t be much longer

Its an awful waiting game, drs have ran basline bloods to check thyroid etc is okay and everything was fine but won't check hormones until 18 months post injection. Hopefully something will happen soon!

I stopped taking the depo July last year. I had a period in December. Then I had 2 bleeds very light within 4 weeks. Then nothing for 2 months. I had what seemed like a normal period last month.

I’ve been temping properly this cycle and I’m currently 4dpo so fingers crossed!

I've been having the same issue with depot , I came off the implant in August after 3 years and had the injection as soon as the implant was taken out had a period then that lasted 10 days then never had one until the day I was due to go back for my second injection in November. Decided in November that me and partner wanted to start a family and so never went back for my second injection, we decided that we would begin officially begin trying at the start of January . After my period in november I didn't have another one until February and again didn't have a period until April the 4th...now currently waiting again for my period to return as it was due the first week of may and no sign yet! 🙄 can be quite disheartening especially if you are trying to concieve as every month it doesn't come you start to get your Hope's up slightly!!

I had 3 children in 5 years and was on depo before and in between them.

Dc1 was conceived 7 weeks after my injection ran out.
Dc2 took 17 months - 12 months after my periods came back and about 9 months after I stopped breastfeeding.
Dc3 took 5 months.

Meant to add I had 3 injections between ttc dc1 and 2 and then 4 injections between ttc 2 and 3.

Took about 18 months t get my period back

I was on depo from summer '99 to Jan '08, had a year on the pill, then went back on depo until I had my last injection in December '11.

I went into the pill when my injection ran out in Feb '12 for 3 months. I had normal breakthrough bleeding on the pill and my periods proper returned as soon as I came off the pill. I was pregnant within 4-5 months of stopping the pill, 7 months after my injection ran out.

Yeah, so frustrating.
My only injection was last june and not even had any spotting yet! No period, didn't have one the 3 months of the injection either.
Completely gone!
