I have very regular periods, 7/8th of each month. They are usually pretty normal, heavy-ish & fairly painful on day one/two, then calm down. Last 4/5 days.
But every few months I get a severely heavy period. This month is one of them. I have to change an maximum tampon & pad (I need both) every 30-45 minutes all day on day one. Then maybe every 1.5 hour on day two. And they last for 7-8 days. I pass large clots and the pain is unbearable. I also feel quite unwell. I often have to miss a day or two at work as they floor me..
More just curious really, does anyone know why this might happen?! Is it hormonal? Or anything to worry about?
