What is going on?!

I had an early miscarriage a few months ago and have had a couple of normal periods since. All fine.

I'm currently on day 40 of this cycle and wondering what is going on! Have done a few pregnancy tests from about day 28 and all negatives.
The only symptom is I have painful boobs which I only ever get when pregnant. It's very strange.

Anyone had a similar experience? Any advice?

I was exactly the same!!
Didn't get a positive until I was 9 days late!!! I'm now 7 weeks on Tuesday 😘 what tests have you been using ?xx

AlaskaWaves · 09/06/2019 19:48

@SamRwl thanks for your reply. I've used a couple of different tests but all definite negatives, no squinters! Forgot to add I had a small amount of spotting a few days ago, implantation bleeding?? (wishful thinking!)
Congrats on your pregnancy Smile

@AlaskaWaves thank you the days just feel like weeks until I get to that 12 weeks scan, booked 16th July
I was exactly the same I spent a fortune on frer and digital was doing them everyday and absolutely no line what so ever I then got a faint line on CD 38/39 and a strong line on cd40 and positive on clear blue, I honestly wouldn't loose hope until period arrives I was absolutely convinced after so many negatives I wasn't and I'm still testing now to make sure!! Only just got the change on a digital to 2-3 weeks so I'm guessing I just ovulated really late!! You could be exactly the same!!
Are you testing with first morning wee?xx

AlaskaWaves · 09/06/2019 20:38

Yes I'm using FMU. I'll try another test tomorrow, I was clutching at straws thinking that I've ovulated really late etc but I suppose it could happen as it has with you! I'll let you know if anything happens.
The first 12 weeks is definitely the longest time ever!!

Good luck !! I will be thinking about you!!xx

I was the same, although I tested quite early and then panicked as had had a miscarriage previously so didn't want to get my hopes up. I then waited a while to be sure. As I had had a previous miscarriage, I had an early reassurance scan, which was great as my "12 week" scan was booked for 14 weeks which felt like an eternity. My midwife booked the early one (10 week) at my 8 week appt :) xx

@moonstonemama that's helpful to know about the early reassurance scan as I have had 2 MCs so I think I'm going to be a bit of a nervous wreck when I hopefully do get a bfp.

@AlaskaWaves that's only natural!! My advice having just been through it, is utilise your midwives!! The team here were amazing and saw me a few times a week as I was so anxious and needed a lot of reassurance throughout! I had spotting throughout my pregnancy literally from the start right up until the day she was born.

Fingers crossed here for your bfp Smile xx

@AlaskaWaves maybe you could speak to your doctor? A friend of mine never got a bfp on home tests, she had a bit of a battle at the gp but they did eventually do a blood test and monitored her hgc levels and they were going up.
