Do you actually POAS??

Just that really, I’m 14 weeks at the moment. It’s not my 1st so I've used a lot of tests in my time. It’s just occurred to me that I have never actually peed on a stick. Always collected in a small (disposable) container then dipped. Does any one actually pee on the sticks? Don’t they always flood?
Just wondering really!

I poas.

Start wee standing up, bending over so can see wee. Insert stick into wee flow. Give it a few seconds, remove stick and sit down to finish wee.

Wash hand as usual.

I actually POAS. Never flooded a test. Just watch as you do it. It’s not difficult.

Oh wow, I don’t know why I’ve never thought to actually try peeing!
It is quite satisfying to dip though as you see the dye rise immediately.

I'm clearly one of the people who just can't do it, I always pee on myself 🤣 cup and dip for me 👍🏽

Maybe the first 2/3 tests I ever did I peed on myself them and then realised you could dip and never looked back!

No I PIAP.

That's what I use Gu pot ramekins for... well not any more as done with babies, but did!

I alternate between an egg cup and a Christmas mug that I was bought as a gift that has since been my dipping mug.

Never dipped, always poas. Also never flooded as have good control over urine stream. Makes my hospital appointments a lot easier when providing urine samples.

For me, POAS is as difficult as collecting a urine sample (surely everyone else pees all over their hand, or is it just me?)

I usually POAS. Dipped once when I flooded a previous test but only as I was being cautious. I usually pee as usually on the loo and usually stick it in the stream mid flow. Either way is fine though OP! I understand your satisfaction seeing the due rise!

Nope. My flow goes all over the place . I PIAP (and all over my hand) then dip.

I POAS, it's good practice for all the urine samples you have to give when you're pregnant (and doesn't require anything like as good an aim as you need to pee in a sample pot).

I used a disposable cup for the one test I ever did. If you waste that FMU you have to wait another day!

for those who piap, what do you do if doctors ask you for a urine sample on the spot? Do you carry an emergy pee pot?

Hospital GP give a sample pot or pie dish to wee in.

They give you a pot to wee in at the doctors so its the same.

I always have a sample pot at home and go to any appointment armed with a fresh sample just in case. My aim really must be awful

But if you piap in the doctors / hospital, they're really narrow. If you can aim into that, you can pee on a stick

I used one of those glass Gu pots you never know what to do with when you’ve eaten the dessert but keep because they look useful

If it’s a plastic stick I pee on it.
In a pot for dip test ones.

Its more that with a test there are more rules. I wouldn't want to flood it or miss completely.
