TTC in August Looking for a BFP

libralady · 23/07/2007 15:57

Hi,
Thought I'd start a thread for those of us looking for a BFP in August. I'm ttc #2. Have a DS of 3.3. I'm current on CD15 - OD day - with a bit of luck. Have been bd'ing like mad over my fertile days and will continue to do so for a few more days yet. Then it will just be the 2ww. Anyone else in situation?

Congrats Knitter, sooooooo excited for you. And also a little bit [env]. But mainly happy!

Happy b'day MoodyMoo!!! Would be great if you conceived LO on your birthday!!!

KnitterInTheNW · 31/07/2007 11:45

I'm painting the hallway grinning like a loon. And scared in case I got it wrong. I've been jealous of every pg woman and ones with newborns I've seen for years, so it's my turn now, surely!

There was also the whole 'what if one of us can't' thing with me & DH, cos neither of us have ever tried before.

Fingers crossed!

And for everone else too. x

tigerschick · 31/07/2007 18:16

Oooh! Hope you get confirmation of that bfp very soon

I've added pictures of my dogs to my profile - they are really cute, even if I do say so myself

KnitterInTheNW · 31/07/2007 18:30

Very cute dogs indeed!

Tigerschick, I'm a fellow Leicester-ite originally! Born & bred, lived there til I was 22, mum & dad & sis all still there.

tigerschick · 31/07/2007 18:38

Oooh - are they in Leicester? I live about half way between Leicester and Uppingham. We've been here for just over 2 years. I also lived in Oakham for 2 years from 94-6.
Dead excited - our new season tickets arrived today

moodymoo · 31/07/2007 18:54

knitter - done any more tests yet?? Can I uncross my fingers and toes yet?? Do i get to use the envious icon yet??
Know what you mean about the jealousy thing, hate seeing other pregnant people but can't help staring at them if I do see them. And I feel as through am being stalked by Myleen Klass - cos she is on every bloody tv programme and in every magazine and paper going at the mo - flaunting her baby bump around - don't think there is anyone left on this planet who doesn't know she is pg!! well got that one off my chest - dh just laughs at me when I spot her on something. Irrational I know but just can't control it.

Now I am definatly giving up my cheapo nastyo opk's - hate them - they tell lies. Suppose you get what you pay for .

Tigerschick - your dogs are really cute - now are they working dogs cos they look rather clean ( dh's sister is married to a farmer and have never seen their dogs looking that clean).
Would love a dog but have a cat who hates me instead - she is a daddys girl. Wouldn't mind but it's me who feeds her .

Am going back to work 2moro after 5 months sick leave and am feeling sick just thinking about it. Hate my boss and am worried she might try and discipline me for being off.

am going now - dh is taking me out for a meal to make up for lack of present. Very much mistaken if he thinks that will cover it - got my own plans for how he is going to make it up to me...

KnitterInTheNW · 31/07/2007 19:07

Tigerschick, they're near the geese on Aylestone rd, very close to the tigers ground! Jealous?!!!!!!!

I'm going to do another test tomorrow, DH is off work so we can sit and analyse it together.
The 1st one I did was a digital clearblue, the 2nd a cheapy tesco one. The tesco one's line hasn't actually gone any darker throughout the day (yes I am that sad, kept them both on the side and kept looking at them both through the day!) so maybe it's only a faint line anyway?
I'll keep you posted!

KnitterInTheNW · 31/07/2007 19:09

And btw my lovely DH thinks it's highly amusing that there's a whole forum of women chatting about weeing on sticks, and the outcomes!

tigerschick · 31/07/2007 19:17

lol knitter - my dh thinks we're all totally mad And yes, I am slightly jealous - db looked at a house about a 5 minute walk to the ground but didn't know what he was doing so didn't buy it

Moodymoo - Hope you have a great evening Yes, the older dog, Widget, works. That photo was taken about 18 months ago so I don't know what was going on at the time. Nell is only 9 weeks so she isn't working yet. We got her because Widget was born 3/4 blind so he works but could do with a hand every now and then!

libralady · 31/07/2007 19:28

Hi all
Just caught up on what has been happening today. Best of luck and I have everything crossed for you Knitter............
Happy Birthday Moody. Sorry about your DH. Men!
My DH has problems too. We got married on my 30th birthday, and although he remembers our anniversary, he quite often forgets to get me a birthday card!
Still no symptoms , so am not too +ive about this month . But saying that I didn't discover I was PG last time until I was 9 days late. Then the sore boobs kicked in with a vengeance

Fingers crossed knitter - yes agree, must be your turn
Happy bday moodymoo

KnitterInTheNW · 01/08/2007 10:33

Guess what?

I did ANOTHER test this morning, and the line was stronger than yesterday's!

Was worried about doing it in case I got it wrong yesterday...

Going to the doc tomorrow, I won't believe it properly til the doc says yes!

Right, who's next? ALL OF YOU!!

aquababe · 01/08/2007 10:36

Another frigging negative and showing signs of af coming.
Feeling very low. though I knew in my head I might not concieve that quickly my heart thought I would.
on the plus side going on hols on friday so will be drinking none stop during af then starting this whole thing again.

KnitterInTheNW · 01/08/2007 10:46

So sorry aquababe

Yep, have a rip roaringly drunken holiday and everything crossed for next time x

boozle · 01/08/2007 11:40

CONGRATULATIONS Knitter! I'm keeping everything crossed for a confirmed BFP from the doctor for you.

aquababe - sorry to hear. I do appreciate how you are feeling. But don't get disheartened! Have a super holiday and look forward to the BD to come!

Bellie · 01/08/2007 12:19

ooh knitter congratulations!!!

aquababe hope you have a great holiday

moodymoo - did your dh make it up to you last night?

libralady · 01/08/2007 13:18

Knitter
It is looking really good for you
I've a quick question for you ladies.
I'm currently cd24
Does anyone know that if I am pg, and we are talking about only just, whether or not it would be advisable to go on some rides at a theme park?
I am thinking of taking my DS to Paulton's Park tomorrow and there are some rollercoasters etc. Do I risk it?
Like I said there is a good chance I am not as I don't really feel any different (apart from being sick on Saturday morning - really think that was wishful thinking) but then again didn't have any symptoms with DS until af was 9 days late.

libralady · 01/08/2007 13:19

Sorry,
Aquababe have a fantastic holiday and have a few drinks for me too. Are you going anywhere nice?

OP posts:
aquababe · 01/08/2007 16:53

Alicante followed by Sardinia

moodymoo · 01/08/2007 17:28

Hi all

Knitter - congratulations am really for you but a lot as well. You must be so excited. Good luck at the docs 2moro.

Libralady - not sure what I would do about the rides - it's one of those situations where you avoid them all and then find out you aren't pg and or you ride them all and find you are pg. Personally I would love an excuse not to have to go on scary rides - dss says I am sooooooo embarassing when I go on them -scream like a girl and cry like a baby.I'm the one usually watching the bags whilst everyone else rides.

Bellie - dh most certaintly did make it up to me last night.... and again this morning.... It's a very serious thing forgetting your wifes b'day you know. Lets hope he forgets our first wedding anniversary next month

Aquababe - - keep your chin up - it will be our turn soon. Big hug for you.Have a great hioliday, realax and you never know what souvenir you might bring back with you!

Whoop sjust seen the time - got to go get tea on and look like I have at least attempted to do something since I got home Will drop in again later x

tigerschick · 01/08/2007 21:18

Hi all

aquababe - sorry for your bfn, just remember that it ain't over til it's over - and if it is over, it's only for this month. Hope you have a good holiday

Moodymoo - I should bloody well think he made it up to you - I might laud it over him for a little while longer yet, if I were you

Libralady - this suggests that it isn't such a good idea tho this sounds interesting!! Hope you have a good time if you do decide to go.

Girlycm - hope you have a great holiday

Knitter - Congratulations - don't get your hopes up about the dr confirming anything, mine just said that if I had a +ve test then I was pg. I had to wait for the 12 week scan before I had any other kind of confirmation, and I think that this is the norm. Good luck all the same

Hope everyone else is well and happy and keeping positive

libralady · 01/08/2007 22:53

Thanks for the info Tigerschick

I'll test b4 I go tomorrow to be on the safe side.
Will keep u all posted.

Take care

LL xx

Oooh, Libralady, so exciting! Do keep us posted!! I was wondering what the next cliffhanger would be after the amazing "Immaculate conception" thread last night (hoping everyone saw that, if you didn't, check it out here.)

Keeping fingers crossed you get a BFP Tomorrow!
