Pre-seed, any experience?

ttc number 2 and it's not happening. Due to a wierd and fairly rare gynaecological condition that I have I was advised by a consultant to ALWAYS wash with unperfumed soap before bd (which is just good manners in my book! ) and to always use a lubricant. BUT, having had no luck since January (ds took 3 months to conceive and I was expecting the same) I'm wondering whetehr the lube is at fault as I believe some may be detrimental to sperm. In which case, I'm thinking Pre-seed might be a good option and if so, has anyone used it and was it successful?

Well you can give it a go by all means but it may not help ultimately either. May I ask what the underlying problem is, this may be perhaps contributing to the subfertility.

Are you still under the care of a gynae cons, if you are I would pay such a person a visit.

Has male factor problems been ruled out?.

I would seek medical advice in any event from a gynae.

Hi Attila. I'm no longer under the care of a gynae, and haven't been for some years. me and dh haven't been to see anyone about the problems with conceiving, but as I am approaching my late 30's, perhaps we should see someone sooner rather than later.

I used pre-seed after 4 months of not conceiving, and fell pg after using it. Could be just fluke tho! Good luck.

I think a lot of the other lubricants can harm the sperm so I should give it a go.

Fluke or not, I'm going to order some straight away!

Loads of lubes are harmful to sperm. Even KY. We tried for 3 months, switched to pre-seed and got pregnant immediatley. Who knows if it was the pre-seed.
