Hi everyone, I'm new to the ttc malarkey and have recently come off contraception for the first time in 13 years so don't really know what I'm doing or what to look out for!

I have been using the implant for the past 9 years, got it taken out (very late, due to come out the previous May Blush) in January and then took 3 packets of progesterone only mini-pills. I took the last one on 19th April, so 7 weeks ago, and haven't had a withdrawal bleed yet.

I did notice one day a week or so ago that I passed quite a mucousy discharge that I've never had before (sorry for tmi) and by googling that could be an indication of ovulation?! Is this true? I don't know how long it takes for things to get back to normal, whether you can ovulate before your withdrawal bleed, or how long it generally takes for things to get back on track after being on contraception consistently for that long a time. Any advice would be very welcome! Thank you in advance! Smile

For me, it took 74 days coming off the pill to get my period. The second being 54 days. I stopped in January and that's everything. I knew it could take up to 6 months to return and around a year to regulate so as long as you are prepared for that, anything else is a bonus really ☺️ I'd been on the pill 17 years

Hope everything settles for you soon :)

I was on the pill for over 12 years and stopped taking it mid March. No withdrawal bleed, didn't bleed until the first weekend in May. Was only a couple days as were my on pill bleeds. At the end of May I got a bfp which unfortunately ended in a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage so now on cycle 2 trying. It's frustrating not know what your body is doing. To try and get my head around it I did opks to try and track if and when I ovulated so I didn't spend lots of money testing every day. Good luck!

Hey! I was on the pill for about 12 years. Stopped taking it end of feb and went right into regular cycles but still waiting for BFP. 2 months in I started experiencing spotting before my period and it’s happened the last 3 cycles now. I think my body has no idea what to do with itself 🙈

I had EWCM whilst on the pill so I was used to it so it sounds like your body is getting on track! Best of luck!
