TTC after MMC

Just wondering how long people waited to start TTC after miscarrying/pregnancy losses please?

I've never waited, but all my mcs have been early and I've always felt ready to try again. Often medical advice is to wait till you have a period but that is usually for dating purposes for a new pregnancy. I think it's important that you feel ready to try again - physically and mentally.

I sat out 1 cycle, so had period, ovulation, period then started trying that next ovulation. More a mental thing than physical though

I had surgery for MMC in the April, waited out May for my own peace of mind, and started trying again in the June (and got pregnant with DS).

As Navy says, advice to wait doesn't seem to be for any medical reason.

@Masha31 I ovulated 4 weeks after my surgery for mmc (I temp) so I'm the 2ww. We did ttc by dtd every 3 days or so after the bleeding had finished.

Thank you all for your comments and I'm sorry that you went through this too. I had a D&C on 25th May after finding out about MMC the day before. I just want to get on with trying again. Love to you all x

Sorry for your loss @Masha31. I had a d&c end of April when I was 8 weeks pregnant..mmc.. ovulated 3 weeks later and am pregnant again...nearly 5 weeks..so no period inbetween for me..but am so anxious with every twinge but so excited too xx

I had surgery for MMC in April. Dr said I was fine to start trying again as soon as bleeding stopped. Only just ovulated 5 days ago though!

Sorry to hear about your loss, its a heartbreaking experience 😣
I had MMC in March this year but tried straight away and got my BFP on Monday after 2 AFs
