Ovulation kits

Hi guys.

This is a bit random but I’ve never used ovulation kits before and need a bit of help.

So I miscarried/had a chemical pregnancy (early at 5 weeks) on the 26th May. I’m 100% having negative pregnancy tests and thought I’d try and use ovulation kits as I wasn’t sure when/if I will ovulate this month. So I brought the Poundland ones and clear blue one. Yesterday I read the instructions of the Poundland one and it said to start yesterday (dates on my cycle). There was a faint line like what it says when it’s negative but quite dark. Then today I tested again and it was much darker so thought I’d try the clear blue one. Which then had the unflashing smiling face which says it’s my peak. For my 28day cycle it should be Sunday I ovulate. I know I might be off from the norm anyway. But if the pregnancy tests are now negative that means I have no HCG so would the ovulation sticks now be accurate?

If your pregnancy tests are negative and you have had a smiley face I would say you about it ovulate soon. Do you temp to confirm ovulation?

I wouldn't worry about to much about Sunday being the day your supposed to ovulate.. my past cycles I have ovulated between CD13 - CD17 so not the same day every month. Hope this helps

Thank you so much. That’s made me feel loads better. No I don’t temp monitor but started reading into it. Would you say it’s worth it?

Definitely!! There was a time when I got a positive OPK but didnt actually ovulate until a few days later after a second positive OPK. Temping is the only way to confirm ovulation happened but make sure you get a BBT thermometer not just a standard

@JoCooper1989 I would totally recommend temping. It feels like it's given me some control and knowledge of my cycle.
