@cupcakesandglitter - you two sound like a fantastic team ❤️ It’s so lovely to read about all of the DH/DP on here who go to the ends of the earth for us (as we do for them). We’re all very lucky indeed!

ELW85 · 17/06/2019 13:32

@purplefig - thank you :) it’s nice to get the results back and great that they’re re-testing!
So lovely to hear you’re getting on well too - it must be flying over for you?

orangeloo · 17/06/2019 14:27

Congratulations @MrsEG we are all so hoping this is the one. Hope you've spoken to ure consultant and she's been able to ease your concerns a bit. Xx

orangeloo · 17/06/2019 14:32

@LindyMoe yes I think realising you only have a certain amount of control over this does help.
I feel weirdly okay to not nearly as bothered as usual this month?! -although the tww may change that. I've just heard so much about stress affecting ttc lately and me and DP have had so much going on I just feel maybe it hasn't happened is it wasn't meant to and it will when the time is right. I don't want to worry until I actually know there is something to worry about.

LindyMoe · 17/06/2019 14:52

@orangeloo, I love that. I watch this animation called Archer and he's always saying 'why would you worry about that until you have to' but the problem is my response to the anxiety. I just want to be at peace but everytime I think about my future baby I get a twinge of sadness which then snowballs.

Going to practice shutting it down and saying no, I choose peace... If only for a minute each time.!

orangeloo · 17/06/2019 14:56

@LindyMoe totally get that and think it's worth a go. I too have anxiety and when I'm really bad and having catastrophic thoughts I actually say to myself calmly stop, stop, stop. It kinda works. X

Lottiepink · 17/06/2019 18:10

@LokiCat I would definitely have taken cd17 as ovulation, and without getting your hopes up too much would the dip later on to possibly, be a late implantation, or was the temp a deviating temp? At 14 dpo , if I was you I would test especially with no signs of af arriving... as I say just another persons view. I will keep my fingers crossed for you 😊

@cupcakesandglitter ahh what a lovely post, sometimes it's what you need to take a step back and reflect, think me and my dh need that ❤️

@MrsEG how did you get on with speaking to the fertility doctor?

MrsEG · 17/06/2019 19:09

Didn’t get a call today :( I know that she was in her RCM clinic at hospital all day so I didn’t wanna press but I’m gonna call again in the morning - I know she has clinic at the private office on Weds and Thurs so hopefully I could maybe see her on Weds. I didn’t want to chase knowing how busy her NHS clinic is, plus I know there’s very little she can do without my test results anyway. Just wanted that reassurance!

@purplefig No, she advised against the baby aspirin until around 8 weeks as unless you actually need it it can have an adverse affect. I was kinda hoping for some progesterone maybe though - from what I’ve read, it can’t hurt to give it a go.

Trying not to be disheartened though. I have a + test and some massive sore boobies right now so I’m letting myself believe it. Happy face, keep positive, hope for the best kinda thing.

Thanks all for the lovely lovely messages I’ll keep you posted xx

MrsH497 · 17/06/2019 19:33

@MrsEG massive sore boobies are a brilliant sign and of course the positive test!! I have everything crossed! X

purplefig · 17/06/2019 19:43

@MrsEG sorry she didn't manage to call today, I think it's totally reasonable to chase tomorrow even if it is just for reassurance, that's completely valid. I've got everything crossed for you.

LokiCat · 17/06/2019 21:00

@Lottiepink @purplefig did a FRER in the end when I got home from work and it was bfn unfortunately :( Will just wait and see what happens next couple of days!

@MrsEG I'm sorry she didn't call. I have everything crossed for you! You're definitely allowed to chase her, she gave you her number for a reason! I'm sure she'd want you to for reassurance. I hope you're able to have a relaxing evening xxx

ValidUser · 17/06/2019 21:14

@MrsEG so, so many congratulations. Wishing you a very sticky 9 months. Xxx

@ImMeantToBeWorking sounds like a plan. Galway traffic is terrible! I honestly prefer to drive through Dublin.

I've been describing myself as impatient. Today I realised I'm not really impatient - I'm just genuinely afraid this will never happen for me. Not to be a bummer. Just that's a real possibility. I've been waiting for "my" BFP, but that May just not exist. #melodramatic

OP posts:
ValidUser · 17/06/2019 21:15

may, I mean. Not May.

OP posts:
Larrydavid · 17/06/2019 21:26

@ValidUser it's not melodramatic - but don't lose hope. There's every chance it will still happen and you're doing all the right things to give yourself the best chance! What cycle are you on?

@MrsEG definitely chase her tomorrow. People don't mind being chased! Fingers crossed for you.

I've started smep today - throwing everything at ttc for the next couple of months. Might do some acupuncture too - if anyone recommends it (or anything else!) let me know Smile

purplefig · 17/06/2019 21:33

@ValidUser sorry to hear you're feeling down, but those are totally valid feelings (to match your username). Have the specialists you've been seeing mentioned a next step? Or will you carry on with the current plan for a few cycles first?

@Larrydavid I really rate acupuncture - it made me feel like I was being proactive, it was nice to talk openly about it with someone other than DH and I found it oddly relaxing.

@LokiCat sorry to hear that. Do your cycles often vary in length?

ValidUser · 17/06/2019 21:38

@purplefig 3 cycles of this, then ivf. Thank you. X

@Larrydavid cycle 12. We've done surgery and I'm now on injected hormones (down to one tube). My remaining tube is open. Just on one of the downs of the many ups and downs of all of it. 😂

Just very sick of all of this!

My sunflowers are growing, though!

@ValidUser - not melodramatic in the slightest. I wish I could comfort you more (or at all). You’ve got some very real and effective plans in place though, so keep your head up xx

Marleym28 · 17/06/2019 22:44

I haven't been on here for a while as I've been trying to wrap my head around being 6 weeks and trying not the be a crazy maniac
I thought I would be different it when I saw the bfp but turns out it's very similar.
Hope you don't mind me popping on. I do miss you ladies.

Hang In there ladies, stay strong! 💙
As for you @MrsEG... congratulations!
Fingers crossed

Xx

MrsEG · 18/06/2019 05:48

@Larrydavid @MrsH497 @purplefig @LokiCat @Marleym28 Thank you girls - I will definitely give another call today. DH was like ‘relax!’ but you guys have made me feel better about chasing it up!

@Marleym28 Lovely to hear from you and I’m so glad all is going well :)

@ValidUser I am so sorry you’re feeling like that. For what it’s worth, I am rooting for you so badly; I really do hope so much that this happens for you. You’re going through an awful lot so please be kind to yourself. My counsellor said to me that it’s important to embrace the sadness though - so when you’re having those awful days, let it all out - and do something nice for yourself, nice long bath, favourite meal etc. I found it helped me on the darker days xx

ELW85 · 18/06/2019 06:23

Morning ladies!
Looks like I’m out this month; 10dpo and temp took a massive drop to cover line. Pretty gutted as I was really hopeful this cycle.

@MrsEG - good luck for today - I really am so, so happy for you. I totally understand your apprehension but your consultant is going to be all over it :)

LokiCat · 18/06/2019 07:38

Morning all! Another temp spike today. Not sure what's going on - 15dpo but not feeling any symptoms still.

@purplefig I've always had quite irregular cycles, but once I've detected the LH surge they're pretty much on time. They're usually between 34-35 days, but I had a peak a lot earlier this cycle.

@ELW85 could it be an implantation dip? Fingers crossed you're still in 🤞🏽

@ValidUser not being melodramatic at all, it's understandable to be worried! If you try and keep it in, you feel worse. Really hoping it happens for you!!

@Marleym28 wow 6 weeks! That's gone fast! Have you been feeling many symptoms?

Currently stuck on a non moving train because a swan has decided to make a comfy home on the train tracks 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
I have a funny image of the train crew trying to lure it away!

MrsH497 · 18/06/2019 07:43

Morning everyone. So I'm thinking of acupuncture anything's worth a try surely? In my crazy little head buying 3 boxes of pregnancy tests seemed like a great idea while I wait for AF!

@MrsEG let us know how you get on!

@Marleym28 lovely to hear from you

Xx

LindyMoe · 18/06/2019 08:29

@LokiCat test again in a few days, otherwise I was 10 days after my missed period and AF arrived day 11 due to my stress.

@ELW85 does that definitely mean you're out this cycle? I've never done the tempature thing, not sure I understand it really.

AF due Sunday, hoping it doesn't arrive but staying distracted. Backstreet Boys tonight!

Happy Tuesday everyone x

MrsR16 · 18/06/2019 08:40

Omg @MrsEG huge congratulations! I know you're a bit apprehensive but I hope you get hold of your consultant today and can have that reassurance 😊 I really hope this is it for you! You so deserve it xx

ValidUser · 18/06/2019 08:46

Ah thanks @MrsEG @LokiCat and @ELW85. Sleep did me some good. Not totally optimistic right now, but it'll be ok whatever happens. X

@MrsEG hoping your consultant calls you back soon. X
