And AF has arrived 😭 knew it was coming but on the plus side my luteal phase was longer, hopefully it will stay that way! Will ring the doc tomorrow. Onwards and upwards, and wine it is 🤣

MrsEG · 13/06/2019 19:30

Made it to the gym (wahoo) but had a bit of a wobbler after class just now.

Was chatting to the instructor afterwards and there is a pregnant girl in the class, she’s 16 weeks so still trying to exercise as much as she can - great, good for her. But she stood there with us and proceeded to moan at me about everything - she’s bloated, she’s tired, someone at work said she was looking ‘big’ and it upset her, she’s annoyed she can’t get drunk at a wedding this weekend, she officially can’t wear her normal jeans any more - it was endless. The instructor (who I know well) was cringing and tried twice to changed the subject to no avail.

I know that everyone’s problems are totally subjective and she has probably just had a bad week, she is more than entitled to her own complaints, I completely understand that. But I just wanted to grab her and and just scream DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LUCKY YOU ARE. BE HAPPY. I WOULD KILL TO BE YOU RIGHT NOW!

Instead I of course did the British stiff upper lip and just nodded and said ‘oh’ and ‘yeah’ a few times until I could safely slip away.

Galaxy for dinner.

starkid · 13/06/2019 19:36

@Lottiepink - sorry to hear :( xx
@MrsEG - it's so frustrating isn't it? Because you know, once over the initial excitement we'd all probably feel a little miserable from some of the side effects of pregnancy. It's lack of awareness that someone might be wishing they could experience all that and have been trying for a long time, or has had losses... if only it was more acceptable to just say how you feel to total strangers so they understand xx

MrsH497 · 13/06/2019 19:38

Oh @MrsEG I get it 100% girl at work is 4 months pregnant and moaned she was duty driver for her boyfriend and his mate. I would give my kidney to be in that position just like you!!
We will get our 🌈 and I will enjoy every ache sickness bloat alcohol free day! Xx

MrsEG · 13/06/2019 19:46

@starkid I know!!! Like can you imagine if I’d just butted in like ‘Yeah I wouldn’t know, I’ve had 3 miscarriages and am actually really struggling so I’ve no idea what you feel like’ - talk about tumbleweed. I think you’re so right - no one ever, ever thinks that loss and fertility issues are actually all around you - such a lack of awareness. And as you say, it’s perfectly natural for pregnant people to have a good moan about being pregnant! I’ll just have to work on that stiff upper lip I think.

@MrsH497 ME TOO! Honestly, when I get there I’ll enjoy every wave of nausea, every awkward bloated burp, every weird look of ‘is she pregnant or just fat?’ as I’ll just be so bloody happy I’ve finally gotten there! You’re so right - we will have our babies one day (I hope soon!!)

Thanks for letting me moan girls DH is out tonight and my dog wasn’t very understanding!

starkid · 13/06/2019 19:50

@MrsEG - I would be so fricking happy to be fat and round and strain out of my clothes 😂

Also to update my end, still no spotting and AF supposedly due tomorrow, which if I am 11dpo is a new thing for me, as I've spotted the day before AF for months now. Who knows, maybe the B6 I took for the first half of the cycle actually did something e.g. lengthen my luteal phase? That would be useful.
Keep getting belly aches and sore boobs on and off though.

MrsEG · 13/06/2019 19:57

@starkid Oooh fingers crossed 🤞🏻 - are you testing or waiting to see if AF shows first? I just got some B6 today, saw some glowing reviews online ha! Do you only take it before Ov, or just every day?

starkid · 13/06/2019 20:01

@MrsEG - I had a BFN this morning so I won't test now unless AF still isn't here Sunday

Well I took mine before ovulation, or maybe a bit after seeing as I never got a positive (which I blamed B6 on!). I panicked and stopped taking it once the ultrasound nurse said she could see I was in the 2nd stage of the cycle, and yet I hadn't had a positive. Wasn't sure if I hadn't even ovulated? I might take it again for before Ov next cycle though, just to try it 2 cycles and see if it lengthens my luteal phase/stops spotting

MrsEG · 13/06/2019 20:06

@starkid Interesting! I read something about it increasing EWCM so I’m gonna give it a go when we start trying again as I don’t get a huge amount. Might ask my consultant about it at my next appointment! Good luck - like you say, if nothing else at least you’re getting a nice long LP :) xx

MrsH497 · 13/06/2019 20:08

@MrsEG yes WHEN we are pregnant!!! We will get there and have our bundles of joy. It'll be worth it. For those brief few days I LOVED feeling bloated queasy and having sore boobs!

Ladies what are your thoughts on things like fertility acupuncture/reiki/massage?

Kiza · 13/06/2019 20:55

Hey, sorry for being MIA for most of the week, long work days are just too much- barely manage to shower and eat dinner before bed let alone MN, social media or chatting to friends!

@MrsEG can only imagine the anger building up as you're standing there at the end of your gym class desperately wanting those pregnancy symptoms. I literally can't wait until the day I can no longer get into my skinny jeans (and not when my tummy is bloated from too much chocolate and 🎂! 😆)
@starkid I'm intrigued by the B6 increasing cm? Keeping my fingers crossed for you over the coming days 🤞🏼

@Lottiepink sorry to hear AF has arrived -that's so great that you can find some positive in it by the longer LP. Enjoy the 🍷

@MrsH497 sorry to hear tomorrow is the 4 week mark of losing your nugget, sending you a virtual hug and do whatever you need to to get through the day 💜

We are currently 4 days into SMEP and man it's exhausting!! Supposed to be dtd tonight but knackered so will stretch 'every other day' to tomorrow. Doesn't help we are moving house this weekend 😫

Larrydavid · 13/06/2019 21:05

Hello ladies! I started writing this at the dentist this morning and never finished! Such an exhausting but fun day (apart from the dentist part). Having a week off always means I have two weeks worth of work to do when I get back!

Af has ended for me. Apologies for tmi but it was odd. So light. Almost spotting and lasted 2.5 days. Though maybe this is normal for me post mirena coil? Who knows.

@Lottiepink Enjoy that wine girl! Glad to hear you're finding a positive from it.

@ValidUser I'm sorry to hear af has arrived for you. I was really routing for you. Hopefully next month.

@that90sgirl welcome! Irregular cycles suck - hopefully they'll get in line soon.

@MrsChicken89 welcome! That's a long time but hopefully that means you'll have good news soon.

@MrsEG Galaxy for dinner sounds like a great plan. She sounds awful - she probably didn't mean any of it but I still struggle to understand how people can be so unaware.

@LokiCat What's the mean girls event??

Larrydavid · 13/06/2019 21:06

@MrsH497 I'd also be really interested to know if anyone has tried acupuncture!

starkid · 13/06/2019 21:17

@kiza- I didn't notice any change to my cm personally, but I'm quite lucky to get the fertile cm usually anyway

@Larrydavid- omg I'd be tempted to test just in case it wasn't an actual period. You're right that the coil removal might explain it

Kiza · 13/06/2019 21:19

Oh my god I can't believe I've only just read and realised that a positive opk is not actually the day I ovulate 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ and that ovulation happens up to 36 hours AFTER a +opk. Oh man!! I've been stopping having sex the day I got a +opk, so without realising I've been reducing our chances. I was so confused why SMEP was saying to still have sex after a +opk. 🤦🏼‍♀️😆

MrsEG · 13/06/2019 21:28

@Kiza Oh bless you!! Ov day is still really important as the window can be anything from 12-36 hours so you don’t wanna miss it but I’ve always done Ov day and the day after. (Sometimes the day after that too for good luck but only if we’re not shattered!) At least you know now?!

@MrsH497 Definitely ‘when’ :) I know, losing my symptoms was one of the hardest things to happen. I’m sure once we’re pregnant and we cant keep breakfast down we’ll be moaning but right now I yearn for it!!

@Larrydavid How odd! I have to say, my periods were so different after the pill; bearing in mind I’d been on it for 16 years! But as a teen mine were so heavy and painful but post-pill they’re not bad at all! I was pleasantly surprised :)

Thanks for giving me a little outlet to vent tonight. It’s made me feel much better ♥️

Kiza · 13/06/2019 21:42

@MrsEG I know I can't believe all this time I didn't know and there's me thinking I'd done loads of research 😆
Glad you're feeling a bit better after your rant as I remember you saying a few days ago you were maybe taking a bit of time out from MN to try and settle your mind.
I'm curious did you have your galaxy for dinner? 🍫

ELW85 · 13/06/2019 21:47

@MrsEG - sorry to hear about your rubbish gym experience. Any of us would do anything to not fit in our jeans any more (for that reason). I hope the Galaxy served you well :)

@Kiza - Ov can be a minefield - as with all of TTC! My biggest bugbear is some apps tell you Ov is the day of the temp rise, but it’s the day before that. Things can be really inconsistent, but these ladies are wise and supportive :)

MrsEG · 13/06/2019 21:51

@Kiza I know - I think I managed two days away in the end!! I just miss the comfort of you ladies and having the space to talk about all things TTC. Try as I might I never ever stop thinking about it, ever. I’ve accepted now I’m going to have some really shitty days and it’s just learning how to ride those out, and having MN as a safe space to let it all out has really been useful. And no; I strongly considered going to the shop but just could not be bothered. I had some leftover halloumi curry in the fridge so had that and some jelly (i’m like a 4 year old). We have a drinks trolley at work on Fridays that also has a pick n mix station so will have my chocolate fix tomorrow!!
Good luck with SMEP; it’s quite the challenge isn’t it?

Lozzlepop · 13/06/2019 22:06

@MrsH497 that’s good that the new job is going well, gives you something to focus on! I know what you mean I think we all have good and bad days. Sorry to hear that it’s been 4 weeks, I didn’t mean to bring up any memories 😞 we are 7 weeks at the weekend and AF showed up after 5 and a half weeks! Is the baby shower for someone close and do they know your situation maybe you can send a gift with another friend or visit them one on one? Think we’re going to attempt SMEP this cycle so going to lure DP to bed tonight 😂😂

MrsH497 · 13/06/2019 22:31

@Lozzlepop oh don't worry it had been on my mind anyway and with Father’s Day this weekend I'd thought of all the lovely daddy to be stuff I could get DH and grandpa stuff for my dad.

She's a reasonably close friend and knows what happened. I will see how I feel nearer the time think because DH is working that day I just wouldn't have that moral support!!

I'm laughing at you luring your husband into bed!! You temptress! Good luck with SMEP will wait and see when AF decides to show herself. Still lots of CM (sorry tmi!) and a medium firm ish closed cervix. Just before AF always have a low cervix 🤔

MrsH497 · 13/06/2019 22:32

@MrsEG halloumi curry?! That sounds delicious!!!! Xx

Larrydavid · 13/06/2019 23:06

@starkid I've thought about it but I had a shorter af last month so I think it's consistent!

@kiza it's so confusing! Even with smiley faces I second guess what I'm doing!

@MrsEG oh same - the worst periods as a teen (I later found out it was the endo) - then 15 years of nothing - now two day periods! Tbh, they can stay like this..

Imjustme2019 · 14/06/2019 00:00

@MrsEG happy first date anniversary for the weekend. Sorry you're poorly. I hear you about the gym not realising. I think you should have shook her. Grin

@MrsChicken89 I feel we're rather similar, trying for a while, gym helping with mental health and needing to lose weight.

@ELW85 so pleased you got a call about going back for tests after your visit.

@Lottiepink sorry to hear about AF.

@MrsH497 good luck double yoker!!!

@XjustagirlX fingers crossed

Thank you aswell for your support ladies mentioned above and to @Daisydoodles92, @LokiCat. Sorry if I've missed anyone. Things are looking a bit more normal I hope it stays.

@that90sgirl, @MrsH497, @Larrydavid I'm going to my first ever acupuncture appointment tomorrow afternoon will let you know how it goes.

that90sgirl · 14/06/2019 01:02

@Imjustme2019
That'd be great if you could. Good luck for tomorrow.
