@MrsEG it's CD17, so on 4th June. I took my temp half hour early that day though so I'm not sure if that's why it's so high. If I include it FF says I've ovulated but if I discount it FF says ovulation hasn't occurred 🤔

I think you're right, I'll how my next cycle goes to see if it's a one off. If not, I'll make an appointment with my GP. She's been really helpful in the past with worries and has a special interest in this so may have some answers..

MrsEG · 11/06/2019 09:25

Thanks @Kiza - I am actually currently on a short waiting list to see an early pregnancy loss counselling specialist, so that’s why I’ve effectively stopped going to my old counsellor - my consultant recommended the specialist so i’m really hoping I get the appointment soon!

@Imjustme2019 Smoothie looks exactly like the picture! Well done - and hey if it gets the bowels moving then all the better haha!

@LokiCat I think that sounds like a plan - how fantastic your GP has such an interest in it too. Fingers crossed though, you’re just having a weird month!

LokiCat · 11/06/2019 09:35

@MrsEG I forgot to say I'm glad you had a better nights rest! Work from home day with your dog sounds perfect :) It'll be a lovely to have your DH back tonight I'm sure!
Thank you, I'm hoping all is fine and it is just a weird month (or I'm still in and the temperatures are wrong). Lots of hoping for me basically..

@MrsH497 snap 😊

@Lottiepink really hope AF doesn't show up today!

@ELW85 I'm not sure when I'm testing now.. may just wait to see if AF makes an appearance. Do you think you'll test?
I hope all goes well today. Definitely for the greater good and hopefully put some worries to rest!

purplefig · 11/06/2019 10:01

@MrsEG FWIW I think you are doing absolutely incredibly. Of course you're overwhelmed, you're going through so much. Chuck in the pregnancy announcements, and tiny raincoat buying and it's only natural you're going to feel pushed over the edge. I think MN is a double edged sword, on the one hand it keeps it on your mind and on the other everyone on this thread is amazing and there is so much support. And it's cheaper than therapy! So glad you got a good nights sleep. Working from home with the dog sounds perfect, and it'll be so nice to see DH later. It sounds like you two are a great support to one another, so I'm sure that'll help too. Big hugs lady.

@MrsH497 I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, that's just incomprehensibly devastating. I hope you're holding up ok lovely.

@Imjustme2019 sorry to hear the smoothie didn't go down well! I used ground flaxseed (also known as linseed). I found it made about a pint and I drank all of it for breakfast. I quite liked it tbh!

@ValidUser sorry to hear hear about the BFNs, as everyone has pointed out you're not out until AF arrives.

starkid · 11/06/2019 10:28

Sorry to hear of so many people here feeling down yesterday/today, I know the feeling
Least all in the same boat, mostly xx

9dpo (I think, still not certain) today, which is dangerous as means I can start thinking about testing...! I really shouldn't though, have got my pre-AF spotty skin now as well as the painful, swollen, firey breasts! Have taken to putting cold damp tissue in my bra cups to help soothe them Blush like someone said upthread, it's cruel how the symptoms for early pregnancy and PMS are so similar...

LokiCat · 11/06/2019 10:41

@purplefig good to hear from you. How are you feeling?

@starkid yeah the bloating and sore boobs are the symptoms I had last time when I got a BFP, which are no different to PMS symptoms. It's so easy to get hopes up :(
Fingers crossed for you. When is AF supposed to be due (sorry if you've already said - everything moves so fast I miss things!) x

starkid · 11/06/2019 11:06

@LokiCat - Thanks :) and I think I'm due Friday. I didn't get a positive opk, but I put down the date I had the closest positive. My ultrasound nurse could tell I was in the 2nd part of the cycle anyway.
Usually have an 11 day LP, so am expecting spotting tomorrow or Thursday to be my next AF indicator. Maybe If I don't have any spotting Thursday morning I'll test?

orangeloo · 11/06/2019 11:21

@MrsEG glad you had a good nights sleep and are feeling a little better today.

Fingers crossed for all those still in. And Mother Nature is sooo cruel making pms and pregnancy symptoms similar I had sore boobs last month which I don't usually get- so obviously got my hopes up and spent a lot of time feeling just how sore they were - bfn boob toucher.

@ValidUser thank you haha only that I REALLY LOVE oranges and eat them all time! Have done since I was a kid- so much so my dad used to ration me as his fruit spend was immense haha. And loo is just because my first name begins with L haha. 10.5 is still early, got my fingers crossed for you x

starkid · 11/06/2019 11:23

@orangeloo - bfn boob toucher 😂 that's me!

ValidUser · 11/06/2019 11:23

So here's my possible implantation dip. Apparently a BFP can take a few days after that?

OP posts:
MrsH497 · 11/06/2019 11:27

@MrsEG glad you got some rest.

Well 2 hours into work and it's ok. New role seems ok as well x

orangeloo · 11/06/2019 11:28

Glad you are finding work okay @MrsH497 x

@ValidUser your chart looks promising Smile

ELW85 · 11/06/2019 11:30

@LokiCat - I can’t see your chart for some reason but I’d happily look at it for you or post you some examples from the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book? Basically, charting isn’t as simple as a dip and a rise to detect Ov and loads of other factors come into it.
My temps climb slowly, which is also apparently normal but it freaked me out!
That book is great for dispelling myths - @purplefig got me on to it and I can’t thank her enough!
Think I’m gonna leave testing to next week as Sunday would only be 8DPO so I don’t want to upset myself.
Is it sad that I’ve bought DH a Father’s Day card so I can send him a belated one, when the time comes?

@ValidUser - I think it takes HcG about 3-5 days after implantation to be detectable by a test? If that’s helpful?

@MrsH497 - I hope work went well!

Larrydavid · 11/06/2019 11:36

@MrsEG just read your earlier post. I'm not an expert in all this - but what I do know is that if you're feeling crappy, sharing it almost always makes things better - so keep sharing. You're entitled to feel upset and I'm glad that saying what was on your mind led to a better night's sleep. Sending a big internet hug your way.

Larrydavid · 11/06/2019 11:38

@KittieKath yikes - finding out the day before glasto would be brutal (Obvs a blessing but still!) - imagine making up the excuses as to why you're having a sober festival!

Larrydavid · 11/06/2019 11:43

@ValidUser and @starkid - really hoping that this month works for your both. Not long to wait now.

After being super positive about the cp, I ended up having a bit of a cry yesterday on a bus. So embarrassing. I'm not used to having a rollercoaster of emotions. I'm also so jet lagged which isn't helping. I really hoping as soon as af is gone I'll be back to normal. Fingers crossed.

purplefig · 11/06/2019 11:55

@LokiCat I'm good thanks, just super tired really.

@ValidUser that's certainly a big dip...could be implantation, it's around the right time. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

@ELW85 Glad you like the book - it's very meaty isn't it?! Did you read it in order? I couldn't stop skipping around like a maniac. Think you're sensible to leave testing too.

@Larrydavid Go easy on yourself, that's a rough mix of things to be dealing with.

LokiCat · 11/06/2019 12:22

@ELW85 thank you! I have attached the chart again, if it shows this time? I did google some examples of positive BBT chart, but other examples would be helpful, please!
I may have a look see at the book. It's good to have something to turn to when you've got different worries.
Yeah, it makes sense waiting. 8dpo is quite early still and it'll probably dishearten you if it's bfn.
Aww I'm sure he'll really appreciate a belated Father's Day cats.

@ValidUser the chart looks promising!

@MrsH497 glad your new role is okay. I hope the rest of the day goes well x

@Larrydavid so sorry you felt like that yesterday. It's normal to have so many emotions about this (especially since you're on AF), please don't feel embarrassed. I hope you have a better day today! Have a little treat to cheer you up tonight/over the weekend?

ValidUser · 11/06/2019 12:53

Thanks everyone!

I'm lacking in hope enough that I collected my new prescription. But not totally hopeless yet!

I don't know if MN is having issues, but none of the photos previously posted are loading for me anymore either 🤔

ELW85 · 11/06/2019 13:20

@LokiCat - I’m so sorry, looks like MN is having an age meltdown! I’ll try and post pictures from the book later if I can. Not sure if you can DM people on here so I don’t spam the thread?

@purplefig - I’ve been dipping in and out of it as I need to. It’s great though, and lovely to have advice all in one place rather than trying to validate loads of internet sources!
How are you feeling? I hope pregnancy is treating you well so far :)

LokiCat · 11/06/2019 14:51

@ELW85 You can PM users but I don't think it works through the app. Only through the website.
If it's too much of a hassle don't worry about it! I'll see if I can have a look at getting the book maybe.
Did you have your appointment today?

ELW85 · 11/06/2019 14:52

@LokiCat - no hassle at all - I’ll give it a go :)
The appointment is tomorrow. Starting to get nervous, but know it’s for the best!

Tashdreams · 11/06/2019 15:32

Hi ladies, looking for some advice really, as you may remember, I had a verrrry long 8week cycle post MMC - AF arrived and lasted 4-5 days as normal, my bbt has dropped and am currently on CD12 with a nice level bbt.

I had a BFN a few days before af arrived.

I had bloods taken on cd6 just to confirm my hormone levels had dropped - it had been booked prior to af arriving - I just got my results today. My HGC has come back as 7.
The gp has marked it as normal / no action.

My concern is that I've done some research and learnt the following:

An hCG level of less than 5 mIU/mL is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25 mIU/mL is considered positive for pregnancy. An hCG level between 6 and 24 mIU/mL is considered a grey area, and you'll likely need to be retested to see if your levels rise to confirm a pregnancy

Has anyone else had raised levels post MMC, should I be concerned? Everything seems to be happening as it should this cycle but I'm so anxious to be trying again, I'm worried the level of 7 is going to have an affect or there's something underlying that I'm unaware of.
I've asked to speak with my gp but can't get a phone consultation til 27/6. Any experiences or advice would be appreciated x

Babynumber1at35 · 11/06/2019 16:44
