Hi all - just thought I'd pop in and see how everyone's doing this week.

@ValidUser Thanks! Fingers crossed you get your BFP soon.

@Larrydavid Thank you and I'm so sorry about the FRER result, they are awful for evap lines. Take care of yourself.

@LikeTheFruit Thank you! I did really enjoy making the smoothie every day and it was quite tasty, but getting all the ingredients could be a faff if you don't have a health food shop nearby.

@orangeloo @Leodot thank you! And thanks @Marleym28 I'll look out for it.

@Imjustme2019 Thanks! I only went twice, the first time was on the first day of my period and the next time was 5/6dpo.

@MrsEG Sorry to hear you're struggling, I think a MN break is probably a really good idea. As lovely and supportive as it is, it does make TTC the focus. Huge great big hugs and I'll be popping back in here when you get your results. xxx

XjustagirlX · 10/06/2019 10:42

@validuser I can’t see the line but I’m quite new to this.

I’m 4 DPO. I think I have a really short LP. I ovulated on CD24. I’m not quite sure when AF will turn up. My cycle has been between 30 and 35 days.

If it’s a 30 day cycle then I’m technically in my FRER 6 day early test window but that seems far too soon for testing.

I’ve bought 5 cheap tests to do starting tomorrow morning. Then I can save my expensive one till the end of the week but it will give me something to focus on at least.

Does anyone else have a really short LP?

orangeloo · 10/06/2019 11:42

@XjustagirlX personally I wouldn't bother testing at 5 DPO you'll just cause yourself undue stress and waste tests. An egg doesn't implant until 6-12 dpo. Try and wait to 10dpo x

Tashdreams · 10/06/2019 12:08

@KittieKath re the skin issues - I completely agree!! I never realised folic acid could be the cause but yup, my skins been a nightmare pretty much since the MMC in Feb / march. Maybe it took a while for the folic acid to really get into my system, I'd started taking it in Dec.

@purplefig belated congratulations!!

I can't keep up with this thread but keep popping buy whenever I get chance!

I'm on CD12 & my Ovy & glow apps are predicting ovulation at days 20 & 28 respectively. Nothing like a bit of ambiguity, so I'm sticking with the temping and the opk testing this cycle to keep a closer eye on things x

starkid · 10/06/2019 12:34

@ValidUser - ooh on the original post the one taken furthest away has a tiny squinter of a line at the top... fingers crossed! Maybe test again Wednesday? Smile

@Larrydavid - aw sorry to hear it xx

@XjustagirlX - 4/5dpo is far too early to be testing, wait til 9dpo I'd say. How long is your LP usually? Mine's fairly short at around 10-11 days, and with a bit of spotting the day before too

Boobs feel like they're going to fall off, but then again I get this pretty much every cycle, and every time I get excited thinking it's a sign - but alas, no! Would be more suspicious if they actually didn't hurt, unfortunately.

ValidUser · 10/06/2019 13:10

Temp almost to cover line today at 9-10 dpo. My luteal phase is good. Hoping this is an implantation dip!

OP posts:
XjustagirlX · 10/06/2019 13:31

@starkid my LP is short too. I think
It’s about 10 days but I’m not definite. I think the early detection tests at 6 days before missed period have been confusing me. It must be that with a short LP we can’t actually test 6 days before our period. I will try and hold out till 10dpo

starkid · 10/06/2019 14:01

@XjustagirlX - yeah confusing isn't it! Yeah best stick it out til then to be in with a chance of an accurate positive.

orangeloo · 10/06/2019 19:12

Everyone okay? Is Mumsnet broken? Haha

orangeloo · 10/06/2019 19:13

No, not broken just checking. Hope you are all having a nice evening. What awful weather!

MrsH497 · 10/06/2019 19:16

Hey @orangeloo weather is awful!! Feeling crampy today but still waiting for AF post MC so no idea what's going on really. MC almost 4 weeks ago

Larrydavid · 10/06/2019 19:24

@starkid @purplefig @ValidUser @ImMeantToBeWorking thank you! Just wasn't my month! At least I can drink some warm ciders in a field at Glastonbury. Every cloud!

KittieKath · 10/06/2019 19:37

@tashdreams - Yeah it took my a long while to click too, but it is the only thing that has changed (aside from eating better and drinking less!), so has to be the culprit. I watched this video and then bought the recommended supplements. Will let you know if they work! :-)

@larrydavid Ha! This is defo in the back of my mind too... I am testing just a few days before we head to the farm. A friend of mine found out the evening before Glasto in 2017, so had to go as a sober spectator! Pah!

ELW85 · 10/06/2019 20:05

I’m so jealous of you ladies going to Glasto! I haven’t been in years!

MrsEG · 10/06/2019 20:21

@Fivebyfive2 @ValidUser @MrsH497 @LokiCat @Imjustme2019 @ELW85 @Larrydavid @Daisydoodles92 @purplefig
I really hope I’ve managed to tag all who left lovely messages!
I keep saying I’m going and yet I can’t seem to stay away!! I think I am generally missing the support, especially as DH is on hols at the moment.
I am feeling a little better. I think I am honestly hitting the ‘grief and anger’ stage of the full grieving process. I also have my first due date looming in 3 weeks.
Essentially I think the panic attack was triggered by so many things; due date, invite to baby shower, seeing a good few pregnancy announcements on social media, having to buy a little raincoat for my niece. One moment I was a-okay and the next an old lady in Sainsburys was calling an ambulance because I couldn’t breathe.
I think I am most down as I am currently finding myself so enormously overwhelmed. The fertility clinic, tests, the RMC, consultants etc. The absolute anger that my due date is so soon and I’m not even a bit pregnant. To my absolute shame also, the intense jealousy at other pregnant people - I couldn’t even look at a woman at work yesterday as her bump is really starting to show. I HATE feeling that way - I should be so happy for them, who knows what their story is too. Even if they have no ‘story’ and fell pregnant easily - I should be able to celebrate in that!
I just feel like I don’t know myself at the moment. I’m accepting that I may not be as ‘okay’ with all that has happened as I had thought and just embracing the being sad.
I was also starting to get some real anxiety about posting so much about my issues with MC on these threads - am I making these amazing women feel anxious with their journeys? Would they feel a lot better if I just zipped it?!

Also I realise this is the most forlorn wet depressing post EVER. You’ll probably all wish I’d just stayed logged off ;)

Anyway, looking forward to more BFPs in this thread. I actually really am - I get so excited when I know people are testing - for some reason I find it so so so different seeing your FRER pics than an old high school friends instagram announcement! Perhaps it’s because we’re all here so much going through it all together; I just love when I open up a pic and can see two lines!

I hope I haven’t bummed anyone out at all over the last few weeks, I truly hope I haven’t and I apologise for all the talk of fertility issues and MC.

♥️

MrsEG · 10/06/2019 20:22

WHAT AN ESSAY.
Sorry ladies.
My old counsellor would’ve charged me £75 for that.

ValidUser · 10/06/2019 20:28

@MrsEG really glad to hear from you. I'm also finding other people's pregnancies hard.

I'm feeling a bit low this evening. Might be pms. That said, I feel sicky, but unlikely to mean anything with the BFNs.

Curious as to what tonight's temperature will do.

I know I'm actually only about 10 dpo this evening (if I ovulated 36 hours post trigger). I just see so many faint BFPs at about 8dpo. Running out of hope, and away from home when AF is due Wednesday or Thursday.

I have enough hope (or fear) to avoid the wine I really want. Gah this is so hard!

OP posts:
MrsH497 · 10/06/2019 20:28

@MrsEG always lovely to hear from you! I'm starting to learn all these different feelings from a MC are all normal. Today is anxiety.
You have not bummed anyone out you're amazing and remember that. Xx

ELW85 · 10/06/2019 20:46

@MrsEG - please don’t worry about how you’re making anyone feel.
I don’t want to (but think I do) speak for everyone when I say it’s SO GOOD to hear from you.
We’ve missed you!

Everything you’re describing is more than understandable and totally natural, and nobody would judge you for feeling how you feel, because honestly, we can totally relate and we just want to be here for you as much as you are for us Flowers
You do whatever works for you in terms of posting or not, but just know you have nothing but a positive effect on our little gang!

@ValidUser - I’m so sorry you’re feeling low, my dear. It doesn’t sound like anything counts you out yet though, so keep your head up :) I’m sure it was over 80% of people get a false negative at 8DPO so please don’t read into it!

@MrsH497 - wonderful to hear from you too, and sending lots of hugs and positivity your way

Xx

MrsH497 · 10/06/2019 20:52

@ELW85 friends baby was born sleeping today. I'm doing ok back to work tomorrow feeling anxious. Had cramps, and a bit one sided and felt a bit sick today no idea when AF is expected. Stupidly trying to remember how I felt before I knew I was pregnant.

@ValidUser still got everything crossed for you!!! Xx

ValidUser · 10/06/2019 20:57

Thanks @ELW85 and @MrsH497. At 10 dpo, apparently 80% will get a faint BFP on a FRER. It's not that I'm totally out. Just it seems less and less possible. Although my likely 10dpo time didn't coincide with FMU, so I don't know.

Currently tearing up at Grey's Anatomy. I normally watch it for the laughs. This seems quite PMSish.

@MrsH497 that's so sad for your friend. Make sure you're still looking after you. X

OP posts:
ELW85 · 10/06/2019 20:59

@MrsH497 - oh I’m so, so sorry. I didn’t realise that was today.
I’m hoping work goes well for you, although I totally get why you’re feeling anxious.
Be kind to yourself my dear, and just make sure you take any time out you need. Work can be overwhelming without anything else going on, so do what you need to do.

I can totally understand trying to recall symptoms too. It’s difficult when you don’t know where you are in your cycle necessarily. Hopefully you get some answers soon.

orangeloo · 10/06/2019 21:01

@MrsH497 she might be on her way then. Do you feel ready to continue ttc once you know where you are? X

MrsEG · 10/06/2019 21:01

@ValidUser It really is hard; how you can be so happy for someone, and yet have that pit-of-your-stomach feeling also. And knowing there’s nothing you can do about it; we’re already doing all we can, and just have to suck it and see.
I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way today, it’s horrible. As the girls have said you really aren’t out yet, perhaps being away from home when AF is due may take your mind off it a little?

@ELW85 Thank you so much lovely. It’s a bloody tough old road at times. It’s so nice to have this support along the way; how are you feeling? Are you in your TWW now?

@MrsH497 I am so sad for your friend. Unthinkable. Good luck tomorrow - it’s not as bad as you think once the first hour is over and done with. Xx

ELW85 · 10/06/2019 21:03

@ValidUser - sending you massive hugs, matey.
Sorry you’re feeling as you are. Still got absolutely everything crossed for you and will do until you get your BFP :D
