21 day ish blood test question!

Hello, due to have my “day 21” test soon. However my luteal phase is 12 days not 14. Is it meant to be 7 days after ovulation or 7 days before you’re due on? Just conscious I could be a couple of days out if I do it the wrong way

I think it's meant to be around 7 days after ovulation but I wouldn't worry if you're a couple of days out as it doesn't need to be totally exact. I had mind 5DPO and my cycles were long and quite irregular but that was enough so show the progesterone levels were fine.

It’s supposed to be 7 days before AF is due so, if you have a 35 day cycle, you get bloods taken on day 28. How long is your cycle as opposed to just your luteal phase?

I just had mine done last week so I went 7 days before expected period and my period came 9 days later. I went to the GP yest to get all the results and it was fine. So couple days either side doesn’t matter so much.
