Anyone else want to jump on board the July bus? AF has just arrived for me after being 2 days late!

Anyway here's my info:

Hi @Lj02 it sucks having really long cycles means there’s even less chance. How long are yours? Mine are roughly 36-38 days.

@June1987 Welcome!! You have come to the best thread for support!!

Cycle 3 only so try not to get too anxious. I know that's easier said than done. I'm on cycle 5 trying for my 2nd too my LO is 3 and 1/2. If you were on BC it takes a while to get your cycles back on track.

Are you using OPKS?

@june1987 my cycles are around 35 days so today is cycle day 4 😩 this is gunna be a long cycle for me they always are 🤣 good luck to you and hopefully this is your month x

@Sophieb15 thank you for the welcome. My LO is 5 in July and I had a really rough time being pregnant and then the labour and then he had all sorts of issues so it’s taken a while to get to a place where we feel we are ready for another, but now we are it’s hard when it’s not happening. If that makes sense. Yes using OPKS and I’m ovulating and DTD at the right time. Haven’t been on contraception for nearly a year.

@June1987 I'm sorry you had such a hard time first time round. What CD are you getting a positive OPK? Did you get the progesterone blood test done yet?

I came off the implant in Jan and started trying in Feb after I got my first AF. I did have a meltdown last weekend when AF showed up but I'm being super positive this month and telling myself It takes most ppl between 6 months - 1 year to get pregnant. Going to try the pineapple method this month to see if it makes an difference and I have both of us taking conception vitamins since start of MAY.

@Lj02 Are you going to try anything different this month?

@Sophieb15 haven’t got bloods done yet there is no way they would entertain it at the docs because I’ve only been trying 2 months. Think it gets to me as I’m a nurse at a GP surgery so I’m always seeing pregnant people lol.

I get positives around day 21 as my cycles are so long. I have both myself and husband on vitamins. Not sure what else to try? Do you do OPKS?

What is the pineapple method. I’ve heard of pineapple when u want labour to come on but not when trying to conceive?

I guess we are all still fairly early doors but doesn’t make it any easier each time AF shows.

@June1987 I just asked my doctor to take mine last month she did it no problem she did mine 5 days after I confirmed Ovulation with OPKS supposed to be 7 days after but it would have been a Sun. Mine were 45 which is very high anything over 30 means you are ovulating!

Did it take you long to conceive your 1st? It took me 3 years off BC but we weren't actively trying the whole time and I didn't have a clue when I was Ovulating. We were kinda just letting it happen. When it did happen we only BD on CD 5 and 7 so I was very surprised I got pregnant that month.

You get a whole pineapple and cut off skin then chop into slices(including the core it the most important part) and eat 2 slices a day for 5/6 day after confirmed O. It's supposed to help the implantation process. It's worth a try anyway.

No matter how hard you try its very hard not to get stressed about it. We are all going to try and wait until at least 14DPO to test and help each other hold out this month!!

Hey is it ok if I join? Af due tomorrow ! Had really sore boobs yesterday and this morning ( which I never get) so I took a free first thing. BFN ! Was a long shot this month anyway due to illness and life we only managed to dtd day before and day after ovulation. But still drove myself nuts symptom spotting! It's be nice to have some folks to talk to about it all!!

We've decided to start trying. I've been on god knows how many "ovulation tracker" sites and they're all saying my fertile weeks starts tomorrow so I'm hoping for a busy weekend/week😏
I've got a longish cycle. I've been looking at dates and for the last 4 months I've been a solid 34-35 day cycle.
No OPKs or temping because I don't want to become obsessive. I know what I'm like 🙄

@shhsecret Welcome. Best thing to do if you are not doing OPK's is to start on cd 8 and just do every 2nd day for 3 weeks. You should catch you fertile window then.

You could try OPK's for a month or 2 at least then you will have an idea and could BD a bit more around that week. I find them good because once i've confirmed O if I don't get AF 14 days later then I have a good chance I may be pregnant.

No matter how hard you try you will get obsessed it's very hard not too.

@Jonesydocandjnr If your only 12 DPO your not out yet. If you don't get AF by 14 DPO then test again FMU 15 DPO. What are your symptoms?

@Sophieb15 a really annoying part of my brain is also trying to tell me I'm not out yet... but it sounds more like a drill sergeant ' you are not out soldier! YOU ARE NOT A QUITTER ' but then there is also the small petulant child in me that wants to lie down and have a tantrum ' it's not fair, I wanna get pregnant NOW' and of course there's the sulky teenager that wants to go back to bed cos 'I'll never get pregnant' ... so basically my biggest symptom today has been being an emotional wreck! Which I don't think is that normal for me. Also tender boobs. Various cramps .

I still think my body is just trying to troll me! I think once I see AF tomorrow I'll be able to relax and plan for cycle 3.

Cycle 1 I just used flo app to predict ovulation turns out it was 4 days early so I completely missed my best days as I went down to my parents with the wee man. Then cycle 2 I used opk. To confirm what I suspected and on the Saturday I even felt distinct cramps on my right side but the week previous Dh and I had both been feeling awful so not nearly enough deed doing was done in my opinion!

But still fingers crossed I wake up tomorrow and no AF or the next day...

Man ttc really drives you nuts!

@Sophieb15 thanks for the pineapple tip looks like I will be buying pineapples. Im with you going to try my hardest not to test before 14DPO even if I can just pop to the cupboard at work at get a test lol.

I'd say there will be a lot more activity in the next week or so than there is now as nearly everyone is still in week one of the month.

@Jonessydocandjr Fingers crossed you won't get them tomorrow or the next day and then get a positive. let us know.

@June1987 Just make sure you only have it from 1DPO- 6DPO they say not to have it after that. From what I read 1 pineapple should do and Organic is best if you can get one.
The tests in the doctors are cheap as chips(as my doctor said the last time) She actually told me if I did get a positive to wait another 4 or 5 days before even going to see her. So STAY AWAY FROM THE TESTS IN WORK [SMILE] HAHA
