Clomid/Metformin

For anyone who has been given clomid or metformin, how quickly were you prescribed it?

Were you diagnosed with pcos or anything first?

How long were your TTC before you were prescribed it?

Went to GP after 12 months trying and no success. About April 2018. Blood tests and ultrasound at end of July showed PCOS. GP put me on metformin early August. Then had a hycosy and my DH had to have a sperm analysis done. I was then given clomid January 2019.

Investigations June 15
Fertility clinic Sept 15 - clomid prescribed.
3 rounds had no effect so was prescribed metformin but took 2 cycles to kick in and make any difference.

PCOS diagnosed in 2011
TTC from July 14 for a year before we went to the GP to reconfirm it was PCOS and nothing else and then referral on to fertility clinic in Sept 15.
Metformin given in 2016 and was on it until I got pregnant in March 2017.
