How long did it take you to conceive after miscarriage?

Just what the title says really. Unfortunately I suffered a MMC about 10-11 weeks ago. Absolutely devastated us, tried 10 months for the baby we lost so it was such a blow ☹️. Just wondering how long did it take you to conceive again after a miscarriage? I'm getting so impatient and just feel like I should be doing more even though I know I can't...

@susso sorry to hear of your mmc. I don't have any words of wisdom but I'm following to see what other people say. I had a mmc at 8+1 and had surgery at 11+3 after ttc for 8 months.

How long did it take for your af to come back?

Sorry for your loss Thanks it really is a horrible time I had a Mmc beginning of feb and needed to have surgical management.

We were given the okay to try again two weeks after surgery...they prefer you to wait for a period for dating purposes. But by some miracle it happened straight away and I am currently 11 weeks + 4!

Everyone is different, it felt right for us whereas it might of felt to soon for others.

@Chanel05 so sorry to hear about yours too, it is truly horrible. I had the medical management (tablets and pessaries) and my AF came back exactly a month after it. And I'm currently on at the minute so I seem to be regulating slowly but surely. Fingers crossed for us x

@yellowcracker so sorry to hear about your loss too but congratulations on your new pregnancy- over the moon for you. Hoping you'll have a lovely stress free pregnancy and I'll get lucky like you soon. We've been trying since 2 weeks after the miscarriage completed but not had any luck yet. Just getting so impatient! X

I know that impatient feeling!

I had complications so had to wait 6 months to TTC but really I think I needed it emotionally as well as physically. Everyone is different but I know my body needed to recover properly.

I was told though that if the miscarriage has completed (sorry awful phrase) especially if there’s been a scan or anything to show it his, then technically there’s nothing stopping you!

💐 for the losses on this thread.
Following to hear others’ experiences; I had a loss at 12 weeks at the beginning of April due to blighted ovum. We’ve just started TTC again and I feel desperate to conceive again before what would have been the due date in October. We have been trying for 2.5 years now, no children yet.

I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in December last year. I got pregnant again on my 3rd cycle post miscarriage but it was a chemical. Didn't try on my 4th cycle and I was pregnant again on my 5th and am now almost 9 weeks.

I had mmc at 7+4 weeks (found at 11+4 weeks) got pregnant after 5 months of trying after 2 d+c and a hsg. I totally understand how you feel as took us 11 cycles to conceive the baby that mmc and was so impatient for it to happen again for us.

A friend of mine had a MMC a few months ago, and is about 12 weeks pregnant again now. The gap couldn't have been more than 2 cycles. Keeping everything crossed for you that things happen quickly xx

@susso I'm feeling like a totally desperate woman at the moment, missing all the things to do with the pregnancy like the midwife appointments to go to but even going to the epu for a blood test!

Hallo OP. I too am very sorry to read your post and those of others who have known loss. I have had multiple miscarriages. Our first child was conceived within two cycles of a miscarriage and our second child within six cycles (and following an ERPC). Miscarriage is its own kind of painful grief and I sincerely wish you all the best.

Thank you to everyone that has replied! So sorry to hear about all of your losses. It is truly shite and I wish none of you had to experience this. Feeling so impatient and upset this week. I'm just so scared of it happening again if we're lucky enough to conceive ☹️xx

@Chanel05 Sharing that feeling of desperation with you! I found myself flicking through my pregnancy record the other day... no idea why I do it to myself. I do miss the scans and appointments etc.. ☹️xx

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in July last year, we got pregnant the second month of trying with that pregnancy.

9 months later and we still haven’t fallen pregnant yet, however my cycles have only settled down in the last few months.

I miscarried at 11+6 (Mmc) and got pregnant again 6 months later. Fingers crossed for you.

I lost a baby at 7 weeks. As soon as the bleeding had stopped and we had a negative PT, (a week later), we started trying. Four weeks to the day after the miscarriage, I had another positive pregnancy test. Sadly that turned out to be a chemical,
But again, four weeks to the day after that I was pregnant again. I'm now 27 weeks!

I had a very early miscarriage about 6 weeks. Started trying again and got a bfp today 2 cycles since the miscarriage. Did take me 5 months to get the first bfp.
The one thing I have found is the cycles after the miscarriage I ovulated earlier than before and I had been very regular until then so could be worth keeping an eye out on when you ovulate

@susso sorry for your loss. Miscarriage is just horrible. It took 5 years for us to conceive or first only to end in miscarriage, then got pregnant on cycle 3 after miscarriage but were lost that baby too, heartbreaking. Now on cycle 7 after mc#2 and still not even had a squinter on a FRER or IC test.

so sorry to hear all you lovely ladies have experienced such a horrible thing. My heart breaks for you all. Congrats to you all who have fell pregnant again, wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy! And to those who haven't I hope we do so soon. 🤞🏼xx

I'm currently just waiting for AF to settle down, I'm so eager to try again this month!

Hey when you say you ovulate early, do you mind me asking -- how early? I usually ovulate 3 weeks after af, but since I had my mmc, I feel as though its a week after!

I'm six cycles after my MC, and still nothing. Did find my cycles shortened by 4 days after it (after the first couple months of long cycles). I'm going for blood tests end of this week to check if I've a hormone imbalance now

I mean no new pregnancy sorry! I'm not sure I was ovulating the first couple of months after (weird opks), but the last three months I have been (opks and I started temping to check)
