@Delilah7 He’ll be here before you know it, and then you won’t know what life was like before!! My niece has just turned one; the year has flown and yet I can’t remember her not being here! Good luck for your last few weeks now :)

I had never heard of piss pots/pee receptacles until Mumsnet!! At least it puts those Gu pots to good use (other than storing dozens in the cupboard, for literally no reason, to never be used again)

Me and DH had a long chat today and have decided to complete give ourselves at least a month off and reassess when our recurrent MC clinic appt comes through. We’re also making a mini ‘pre-baby bucket list’ - nothing extravagant, but we drank a bottle of champagne at lunch, I’m arranging a big night out with the girls next week, we’re going to finally try the indoor skydiving place near us, etc - all stuff we can’t do once preggo and also things to keep us entertained and make us feel a bit less sad about the whole thing!! So I may be on MN a bit less but will definitely be checking in for BFPs :)

Kiza · 26/05/2019 19:31

@MrsEG that sounds like a fab plan, trying to find some positivity and happiness amongst all the worry, stress and sadness. Hope you both have a lovely month enjoying your bucket list adventures and the weather is going to be great for you over the next month by the sounds of it too! ☺️

ValidUser · 26/05/2019 19:44

@MrsEG that sounds like a plan! We took 2 months off before my surgery and it really did take the pressure off. ❤️

@ELW85 sorry to hear AF arrived! I hope Harry Potter studios and butterbeer ice cream is cheering you up xx

@MrsEG yeah, the movie wasn't anything amazing. Had a good laugh but original is always best!
Your plan sounds so great! It's such a positive way to look at it and I hope you have a great time crossing things off your mini bucket list! Perfect way to make memories and make the time pass till your appointment and hopefully getting some answers! Xx

@Delilah7 I love the name you've picked for your little boy! Wishing you lots of luck for your last few weeks xx

PaintingOwls · 26/05/2019 19:51

MrsEG

Bucket list sounds awesome! Enjoy yourself Smile let us know what other things you guys do so that I can steal your ideas

Lozzlepop · 26/05/2019 20:35

Hello ladies,

Hope everyone’s weekends are going well and that unlike me you have tomorrow off work! DP was the worlds drunkest man on Friday night and ended up spending all of Saturday in his bed whilst I was out shopping 🙈 I’m still so tired and feel like I might be coming down with the cold, not what you want before holidays! Weighing in on opening up about MC - it is such a personal choice, for us we decided that telling all of our friends was the best thing so someone doesn’t upset us by making a silly off the cuff comment! I really think that taking about it has helped a lot especially for me personally as I think I’d have found it tough to keep in and not share! Only a select number of people at work know but all of our friends do and have been so supportive.

@ELW85 sorry to hear AF got you but hopefully the Harry Potter studios have brightened up your weekend!

@MrsEG I love your bucket list idea and especially the drinking champagne at lunch ☺️

Fully in the TWW (according to glow) and haven’t given it a second thought think I’m just so ready to go on the holiday nothing else has entered my mind 😂😂

Dollywilde · 26/05/2019 21:40

Evening all. @lozzlepop I was chatting to friends last night and we all agreed that there’s really no reason not to share if you want support. I like knowing my girls are there for me if the worst were to happen.

Testing tomorrow so having a glass of wine tonight (may also have had a cheeky cig - not a big smoker but love one with a glass of something!) No symptoms BUT I have cried at adverts three times today - DH thinks I’m mad! I’m putting it down to pre AF hormones but you never know. One was an ad for Lacoste so not exactly Wateraid or RSPCA.

I feel really odd. I did last month before testing. It’s that bizarre ‘my life could change forever tomorrow’ thing. Maybe after a few more rounds of cycles I’ll be more chilled but I think it’s just my overthinking personality. I wouldn’t say this anywhere but this thread but I so want it to happen tomorrow. It’s like Christmas night when you don’t know if you’ll get a present.

Sorry, bit of a stream of consciousness!

ELW85 · 26/05/2019 22:01

Evening all, I was reading back through all of the lovely posts in the process of trying to thank everyone to tag them, when I reflected that there were so many nice messages that I couldn’t remember everyone to tag!

I guess that’s a really long-winded way of me saying I’m just reflecting on how awesome this little community is and I’m very grateful.

I also realise that a lot of people have gone through so much worse than just not getting pregnant in a cycle, and you ladies are absolutely astonishing.
You’re so strong and very inspirational and I feel lucky to be able to ‘know’ you.

Anyway, enough of the soppiness - promise I’m not even drunk; just the sugar rush from the Butterbeer :)

Have a lovely evening, everyone xx

Lozzlepop · 26/05/2019 22:06

@Dollywilde exactly! I feel there is some sort of stigma or people are embarrassed to talk about it but I think we need to remember that we haven’t done anything wrong! I’m so glad to have had the support of everyone around us ❤️ I have everything crossed for you for a bfp tomorrow lovely 🤞🏻 Otherwise we know you just really dislike Lacoste 😂

MrsH497 · 26/05/2019 22:17

Evening ladies 😘 @ELW85 that is the sweetest msg!

Well had the in laws up had dinner with my parents and a hot tub sesh tonight. It was so what I needed we've talked about the miscarriage and it's been therapeutic.

@cupcakesandglitter Glad your mum is getting there. Hope you're doing ok lovely.

Agree with your sentiments @ELW85 Lucky to know you amazing ladies xx

ELW85 · 26/05/2019 22:35

@MrsH497 - I’m so glad to hear you’ve had a lovely evening!! It’s most certainly deserved and hot tub session sounds wonderful :)

I’m not sure where you’re based, but there’s a fantastic hotel in Yorkshire (Crab and Lobster) with some beautiful private hot tub suites if you’re ever looking for a night away.

Dollywilde · 26/05/2019 22:44

@ELW85 I have had a drink but I really couldn’t agree with you more x

Thanks @lozzlepop! Smile

Fivebyfive2 · 26/05/2019 22:48

Hi ladies, really hope you don't mind me constantly being on here still, but I love checking in sometimes just have to reply!! Xx

@MrsEG, loving your bucket list idea! Sounds like a fab plan and you and your h are an amazing team xx

@MrsH497, glad the evening with the inlaws went well and that you're feeling thearepised (not a word but hey ho!) Keep doing whatever works for you xx

ELW85, what a lovely message, made me emotional!!

Good luck all those testing tomorrow, I'll be checking in for sure 😀

Had a lovely evening with the sil, we went to see Lucy Worsley talk about Queen Victoria at Birmingham Town Hall (nerds!) it was very interesting. We had some nice chats, apparently my family managed the 'not getting carried away' thing for about a week and are now already planning things such as 'how to ensure child is a villa fan' 'trips to the zoo' and 'spreading presents out between Christmas and the current eta of Jan'... So not OTT at all then?! 😂

Dollywilde · 26/05/2019 23:00

@fivebyfive2 DH is obsessed with the idea of a villa fan child if we get a bfp and they go up tomorrow! Genuinely if it’s two yeses I think he’ll be hungover on Tuesday Grin

Dollywilde · 26/05/2019 23:00

(And don’t be silly, so lovely to hear from you!)

ValidUser · 26/05/2019 23:16

@Fivebyfive2 we love having you around! X

@flapjackered thank you I sympathise with your sister hope you’re getting on ok x

Delilah7 · 27/05/2019 07:26

@LokiCat thank you lovely ❤️

I can weigh in on the miscarriage opening up too. My OH never really understood why I wanted to talk to others about it. But I thought if I didn't it would eat me up inside. It's nothing to be ashamed of it's just if you're comfortable with sharing something like that... it did me the world of good x

Lozzlepop · 27/05/2019 08:09

@Delilah7 I totally agree I thought I would and up getting depressed and withdrawn if I didn’t speak about it, I’m so glad that I did!

Delilah7 · 27/05/2019 08:10

@Lozzlepop it's just everyone's preference but I wasn't ashamed or didn't want to hide it. Lots of people unfortunately go through it and you never know that until you actually talk about it! Xx

LokiCat · 27/05/2019 08:30

Morning ladies! Having a lazy morning in bed currently.

I'm glad many of you felt comfortable to speak up about your miscarriage.
I was pretty open about my miscarriage to. I initially thought I'd keep quiet about it, so only mentioned it to my parents, two close friends and my manager (mostly due to needed time off work but he was amazing about it). I'm so glad I decided to talk about it - i felt so much more emotional when I kept it to myself but the support I received from those around me when I told them was unbelievable and it helped me heal so much faster!

Lozzlepop · 27/05/2019 08:52

@Delilah7 it is such a personal choice I was actually surprised that out of my group of friends it hadn't happened to anyone and in a way I am glad that now one of us has experienced it so can always give advice.

@LokiCat I am jealous you are still in bed, I have been so snoozy all weekend 😴currently trying not to fall asleep at my desk!
