Thanks for thinking of me @MrsH497 ❤️ mums on the mend thank god and is back home.. I'm okay, I had the most beautiful dream last night that I got a blazing BFP and it was so perfect. Woke up and felt pretty shit, I've only had super squinter BFPs and even then they didn't last very long. God knows how long we're going to have to wait for DH's SA again. Feeling pretty defeated!!! How're you? Xx

@Fivebyfive2 nice to hear from you, how lovely that you're starting to show!! I can't wait to have a bump 😂😂 glad all is going well xx

@MrsEG god people can be so insensitive!!! I'm sure I've read somewhere that there's really not much we can do to 'lose' it, it's one of those things. Hope you're doing well xxx

@FlapJackered I'm with you, I would've lost it a long time ago!!! Xxx

Marleym28 · 24/05/2019 22:24

Hi all just checking in.
CD16 2dpo (which already feels like it's been ages).
Trying to keep busy and ignore the TTW as much as possible.

Anyone due to test soon?

Tashdreams · 24/05/2019 23:57

@FlapJackered urghhh yes! The age old 'well at least you can conceive, you know you're both working in that dept' comment after MC. Doesn't stop me feeling a failure for not being able to keep hold of the pregnancy though. I know rope mean well but jeez sometimes I wonder where their common sense is.

You're all totally right - I was amazed at how many relatives and colleagues had gone through MCs when I told them, again I've been open about it, clearly stating that I didn't need sympathy (that would've made things worse somehow) but that I didn't want it to be a taboo subject amongst people I'm close to 😊

CD57 tomorrow & counting... 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

flossy12 · 25/05/2019 00:02

@Marleym28 testing in the morning! Getting very excited/nervous now

Dollywilde · 25/05/2019 06:37

Morning all! Good luck testing today @flossy12! I’m awake at 6.30 for no apparent reason... of course this happens on a Saturday as opposed to during the week when I have to be up at this hour...

FlapJackered · 25/05/2019 06:45

Do you think opks or temp is more reliable? I have just got a positive opk but my temp is already high, above cover line? It was also high yesterday before the positive. I did wake up feeling really hot both days. Is it possible to ovulate before a positive opk?

@Tashdreams eesh cd57? I am sorry I have been there with the long cycles and it isn't fun! Do you think you have ovulated yet?

@cupcakesandglitter glad to hear your mum is feeling better.
God those dreams are so cruel aren't they.

@ELW85 I am so jealous, I would love to go to Harry Potter studios!
It's mine and my DHs 2 year anniversary this weekend, 2 years married, 12 together. He says he hasn't booked a restaurant yet 🙈... romance is truly dead 😂

@Kiza I am totally with you. I have told more people than I would have naturally wanted to tell because I don't want to contribute to the stigma around it. It was very hard to do, so I understand why women don't talk about it. It is hard to deal with people's pity. My best friend didn't tell me she was pregnant as she didn't want to upset me, she told everyone else and I heard it from another friend, and that hurt quite a lot even though it came from a place of love on her part. People just don't know how to react.

ELW85 · 25/05/2019 07:19

@Dollywilde - I’m in the same boat; awake at 5.45am as if it’s work. WHY?! DH is en route to Starbucks so we can have coffee in bed, haha!

@FlapJackered - congratulations on your anniversary!! I hope he gets you some flowers :) offer to book the restaurant yourself and just make sure it’s your favourite and he pays, haha!

Re: the OPK/temp thing, OPKs can also catch the tail end of a surge if it’s short, which might mean your temp has gone up as well as having a positive OPK if that makes sense?
Mine were a bit weird this month; positive OPK on 13, temp rise on 14 so I can only presume it was a short surge in between!

@Marleym28 - I think a couple of us are due to test Monday. It’ll take all my will power to not do it today or tomorrow though...

FlapJackered · 25/05/2019 07:46

@ELW85 😂 good idea!
Weirdly the opk was negative yesterday until the evening and then positive again this morning? Not sure what to think, ah well we will just keep DingTD and keep our fingers crossed!
Good luck with resisting poas! At least you have some distractions this weekend.

Lola871 · 25/05/2019 08:03

Morning ladies, hope everyone has a nice bank holiday weekend planned. I've woken up with mild cramps, so I think AF is coming. Due any time between yesterday and Thursday. Was thinking about testing this morning but will probably hold off now and see if AF arrives over the weekend.

Bettythecat · 25/05/2019 08:13

Morning ladies, just checking in but this thread moves so fast I can't keep up!! You all like to talk! 😂

@Lola871 between now and Thursday seems like quite a big range. Do you know what your usual luteal phase is? Don't give up hope though- cramping is common in early pregnancy and can be a sign of implantation!

@Fivebyfive2 So pleased to hear its all going well. Have you got any early scans booked?

@FlapJackered That must have been so hurtful about your friend not telling you. Did she eventually tell you herself?

On the chat of who to tell after mc I told my three best friends who hadn't even known I was pregnant. It was such a huge relief to tell them and they were such a massive support that I know next time I'll tell them I'm pregnant straight away in case it happens again. I have found it impossible to talk about with other people though (apart from mum and DH). I will sit there thinking it but I just can't seem to find the words to say it. Interestingly I went on a girls weekend with some friends where there was loads of talk about pregnancy and babies and I wanted to say it- the same weekend my friend did some reiki on me as she is training and she said there was a blockage round my throat chakra which can mean there is something you want to say but can't! Obviously she had no idea what I had been thinking all weekend and I was like woooaahhhh!!

I've gone full hippy this month girls- bought some fertility crystals and have done a couple of visualisations holding them and have don't my two sessions of accupuncture 😂. At this point I'll try anything!!

7DPO for me today and the madness is slowly creeping up on me.

flossy12 · 25/05/2019 08:14

Aww well BFN for me today at 10/11dpo 🤷🏼‍♀️ hope other people have some better news this weekend ☺️ x

Fivebyfive2 · 25/05/2019 08:25

@bettythecat, hi hun! Loving the hippie vibe 😎 Who knows, might make you feel more relaxed??

No scans booked, am still thinking we'll wait until 12 weeks. I've got my midwife booking apt on 3rd June, same lady I saw last time. We're going to ask loads of questions on what she recommends about scans and also if we should go ahead with our holiday (I'll be about 10 weeks) So hopefully after chatting to her we'll be able to make decisions!! Xx

Tashdreams · 25/05/2019 08:26

@FlapJackered yes, I think so - it was so long ago I can't remember! I had +opks around the 4-6th May. I tried figuring out why my luteal phase is so long but it's just down to my body getting back in sync after the MC - it took me 5 weeks to get a negative pregnancy test after I first started losing.
Hey ho, I'm trying my best not to think about it this month & just wait for af to arrive and try next cycle.

On the plus side I started this rainbow blanket last night (I Crochet to unwind from my stressful job, rock n roll! Hehe) last shift in work for me today, how you all have a lovely relaxing Bank hol wknd & send positive vibes to all testing this weekend x

TTC First Baby Thread 18 Already!
Lola871 · 25/05/2019 08:34

@bettythecat I believe my luteal phase is 14 days from having a couple of episodes of ovulation pain. However I don't track when ovulation is, I'm just going by cycle length. Last one was 29 days, one before that was 34 and I've had quite a few at 35.

I thought AF had started this morning but when I got up it turns out she hasn't so I'll see how the rest of the weekend goes!

@flossy12 you're still quite early to test! Hopefully you get a BFP in a couple of days 🤞

Bettythecat · 25/05/2019 08:36

@flossy12 that sucks I'm sorry 😫. When is af due? Maybe still a chance if not for a while?

@Fivebyfive2 ah yes I remember you saying that was your plan 😊. Sounds like a good one- really in awe of your positive attitude it's amazing 🥰

Bettythecat · 25/05/2019 08:38

@Lola871 ahhhh that makes sense. If you don't track ovulation how do you know when to BD if you don't mind me asking?! Maybe you're just a lot more spontaneous than me and have lots of sex anyway!! 😉 the cramping actually could be a good sign you know- most people have it when they are first pregnant. Are you going to test or hold out for af?

FlapJackered · 25/05/2019 08:41

@Tashdreams that's such a lovely blanket! That inspires me to get knitting again.
It does take time to get back to normal after a mc, hopefully next cycle will settle down for you.

Sorry for the bfn @flossy12 although it could still be too early. I got a bfn on 12dpo and a positive on 13dpo so you're not out until Af turns up.

@Bettythecat She didn't, after I heard it from a friend I contacted her. She explained she wanted to wait and tell me in person, but actually it is much easier hearing pregnancy announcements over text I think rather than face to face.
I have fertility crystals too! 😂 I got them when I hit 1 year and actually did get pregnant that cycle! Not sure it was anything to do with the crystals but everything is worth a try! I am rating acupuncture too as after just one session ovulation is a week earlier.

Lola871 · 25/05/2019 08:45

@tashdreams that's so good! I started crocheting over Christmas, and have made a few ear warmers and a hat. I haven't done it as much since the days got longer though!

Lola871 · 25/05/2019 08:48

@Bettythecat I don't time it too much, I just know we should get on with it between day 10 and day 22 ish 🤣

In hindsight we've missed fertile week a few times but until we hit a few more cycles I don't want to make it too planned. OH is super stressed with work as it is so don't want to add any more to it!

ELW85 · 25/05/2019 08:48

@Flapjackered - ah totally sounds like you’re still gearing up to O! Enjoy this weekend then, haha!

@Tashdreams - awesome blanket!! I wish I had the patience for something like that :)

flossy12 · 25/05/2019 08:49

@Lola871 @Bettythecat @FlapJackered due on AF the 29th of May but this is first cycle after coming off cerazette so just going to take it in my stride there's always next month 😆

Yeah just going to enjoy the weekend now x

Bettythecat · 25/05/2019 08:52

@FlapJackered woop! I'm glad it's not just me!! 😂 having been so dismissive of people when they say you need to relax etc (so NOT helpful when you are TTC) I have now decided maybe it does have an effect on hormones and chi and whatever else so I'm trying to focus on that too! I follow this woman on insta called Emma Cannon and she is queen hippy and says things like you need to be ready to receive the sperm. Kind of makes sense so I'm going with it! I've had two sessions of accupuncture now and completely love it as it makes me so so relaxed but the last time I went she did this thing called Moxa on me which is where you heat certain points. She gave me a stick to use at home and I you tubed it and the video I found said not to use it in the LP as it can interfere with implantation- I am and was in my LP so now I'm slightly questioning her knowledge!! Have you ever had Moxa? Know anything about it?!

Kiza · 25/05/2019 08:52

@FlapJackered I go by cm/c position and OPKs. I tried bbt but kept on forgetting to take it before I got up for the 🚽 and a drink of water 🤦🏼‍♀️
This month I had two LH surge, one at cd 6 and one at cd 14. I had EWCM cd 13/14/15 so took that as ovulation.
I imagine as long as your dtd in your 10 day window you should be grand?

Bettythecat · 25/05/2019 08:56

Gosh it moves so fast that five more posts appear as you're typing 😂

@ELW85 sounds like you have a really good approach then. I can understand why men would find it stressful as they have to perform don't they- it's all about that really!

@Tashdreams I absolutely love that blanket!! Can you make me one too please?! Whilst you are crocheting you could sit and think about your future baby and use it as a kind of visualisation. See- I'm going all in on the alternative stuff now!! 😂🤷‍♀️

Savvysaz · 25/05/2019 09:10

Can I join in?

Age:32
Cycle: 4
