Negative OPKs?!

Hi everyone,

Looking for advice or stories from anyone having the same experience as me.

Last month the app I was using said I ovulated on cd11. This month I decided to try cheapie internet opks... however I've been doing them twice a day, I'm on cd14 and have only had negatives. I've had a bit of EWCM this morning and yesterday. I'm worried I might not be ovulating though?!

Anyone experienced this? Shall I carry on DTD anyway?!

Thanks x

My clue app was correct last month to the day I got a smiley on my clearblue test. I'm just tracking at the moment to check my ovulation as starting to TTC next month. This month it said I would ovulate on Monday. Got negatives Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then Thursday got a flashing smiley. Didn't test today as I want to save the tests for next month but at least I know something was happening. I'm going to use cheap tests a week before I'm meant to ovulate next month the use clearblue when I'm meant to ovulate to get more precise readings.

Your not alone, just a change in the length of cycles I guess!

Thank you, this makes me feel a lot better. I've been testing since cd10 because last month was a really short cycle, much shorter than my normal ones, so I DTD in completely the wrong week! Fingers crossed I'll see a positive soon x

Just a reminder that peeing on a stick isn't all that reliable as an indication of ovulation and needs to be taken with other measures. Similarly, women do not all ovulate on the same day of their cycle.

The best advice is to be trying to DTD every other day if possible, as this gives you the best chance f conception. I realise this isn't possible for all couples (me included!)

I had a similar concern last month. I didn't get a positive OPK but had a chemical pregnancy, so must have ovulated!

I have been using CB digital this month and got my static smiley on CD16, backed up with strong results on cheapies later that day. I should be ovulating any minute now- I'll only be more certain if I see a temperature spike tomorrow!

Thank you @Kdubs1981 - trying to DTD lots without it becoming a chore! Can be difficult with shift work, tiredness etc! X

Thank you too @Sheep90. I might try a digital one next month. Didn't want to shell out yet as it's only cycle two but I want the best chance possible x

@Sheep90 sorry to hear about the chemical. Hope you're ok? Xx

After worrying yesterday I got a positive on clear blue a minute ago! Will double check with cheapies later. Ovia app has moved AF from 2nd June to 30th May though! X
