@AliceRR I think I'd be considering going to see my GP, I don't know whether because you carried full term whether it takes longer for AF to settle down. Really hope that you feel back in sync soon. It must be so frustrating. Thank you for asking, I'm still really anxious, in so aware that AF is due in the next 48 hours so the better line this morning means absolutely nothing. In fact with mc#2 my line progressing was really good right up to 1 hour before bleeding started.

@moonpeace glad you got out and had your hair done. I love having my hair done, always feel better when I do. Also helps me as my hairdresser has had 3 mc's in the time I've had 2 so we talk about that a lot and how we're both feeling, like a therapy session for both of us. Bet the lie in was nice, it's good to rest. Hope you start to feel more confident about your pregnancy soon but totally understand the worry given your/our experiences.

@Bluebelltuilp hope the headache has eased up now and you're being well looked after.

AliceRR · 08/06/2019 23:14

@InDreamland Yes I might see the GP depending on what happens in the next few days. I can understand you’d be worried, I think it’s almost impossible not to, after a loss, but hopefully this one will stick for you. Line darkening is still a good sign.

rubyroot · 08/06/2019 23:22

@AliceRR- I am so sorry for what you have been though- I can't even imagine. Kind of felling a bit bad that my username is a constant reminder- not that your feelings for your little one will ever go away. Flowers

InDreamland · 09/06/2019 08:14

@AliceRR the GP is a good call as at least you will either have your mind put at ease that it is normal or you'll have hopefully an answer.

InDreamland · 09/06/2019 08:21

Sorry ladies to be selfish and do another post about myself. This anxiety is ridiculous, why the F* did I test early? So this morning's tests, I did all 3, IC stick, IC dip mini stick thing and a FRER. FRER to me hardly looks like any line progression from Friday, maybe a smidget more but not that noticeable. The IC stick you pee straight onto (although I dipped it into the pee pot) is a very obviously stronger line which is good (and why I opened another FRER). The IC that you have to dip has now come up with an obvious line which IMO on Friday was negative. No idea how sensitive the FRER is but the IC stick is 10 mlu/ml and the IC dip stick is 25 mlu/ml which may explain the negative on Friday if it's not as sensitive and is only now picking up hcg. Here's a pic. What do you think? I'm panicking about the FRER not progressing like I though it would. I used the same sample, dipped the IC stick first, followed by the IC dip stick and then FRER last.

@InDreamland I totally understand that this is all a manifestation of the (understandably) huge levels of anxiety but....I think you need to step away from the tests. Urine hCG tests are designed to be yes/no for pregnancy, they aren't designed to show progression. I know its really hard but I think you'd put yourself through a lot less anguish if you were able to repeat to yourself that you have a whole bunch of positive pregnancy tests, and today you are pregnant. As horrible as this anxiety is there is literally nothing you can do to change the outcome, and stressing about it is just going to be torturing yourself. Can you give your DH all remaining tests and have a preggo test amnesty? And plan something nice to attempt to take your mind off it? I highly recommend going to see Aladdin!

Bluebelltulip · 09/06/2019 08:36

@InDreamland I can see lines on all three yes both IC ones are the strongest. You are still very early on, try not worry about progression on the frer. The important thing is that they are positive. If you hadn't previously had miscarridges you would likely just accept a positive result. In my previous 2 pregnancies I only did one test in each, this time I've done loads. My fingers are crossed for you, try to relax and take things a day at a time.

Beaglemum93 · 09/06/2019 08:45

@InDreamland the line progression is looking good on the other tests. I think looking back at the photo you posted the other day the FRER looks a bit darker too. Pregnancy after loss is really hard so I completely understand why you're so anxious. I'd tell you to step away from the tests but I know that's all you can do to try and reassure yourself at this point (and it would be highly hypocritical of me to do so). Line progression tends to be quite slow in the beginning as HCG only doubles every 48-72 hours and there isn't much to double at that point so as long as you see some progression I would try not to worry. I really hope this is successful for you.

Yukka · 09/06/2019 08:45

@indreamland you really can’t compare different brands like that, you’ll never get a consistent response - pick one and stick to it. I agree with Strawberrye you need to step away for a couple of days, and let the hcg do its thing. It’s doesn’t increase at the same rate for each pregnancy so comparing to last time isn’t going to help you either. Try and find a way to sit tight, have faith that your body is doing all the right things, let af due date pass and test again on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Panicking and stressing will add to your body’s workload right now. Try and stay calm. These first few weeks are the most important xx

TinyPaws · 09/06/2019 09:13

@InDreamland Congrats on the BFP. Are you 100% sure that's a FRER and not a FRRR? They look almost identical. The line progression on the cheapies looks good (not the line progression means that much anyway).

Nothing much to report here, still in clinic admin hell trying to get our remaining blastocyst transferred. Feeling a bit left behind tbh, it feels like everyone else is pregnant.

AliceRR · 09/06/2019 09:26

@ImDreamland It’s a clear positive. I agree it’s a good idea to leave the tests alone if you can but I know it’s easier said than done.

AF has shown up for me, after four days of spotting (which is not usual), but after a 30 day cycle which is exactly when Ovia predicted it would show - went to make it on the app and it’s already marked as CD1 🤷🏻‍♀️

strawberrye · 09/06/2019 09:33

@TinyPaws waves hello! I'm not pregnant (standard!) although I know what you mean it seems there are more pregnant ladies on here than TTC at the moment which is lovely to see,but hard for those of us who aren't lucky enough to be there yet. Sorry the clinic admin is proving frustrating. Do you have any idea when your next transfer will be?

@AliceRR sorry for AF, have you ever had your progesterone looked into with your pre-AF spotting?

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 10:35

@InDreamland agree- they’re positive, now you just have to wait it out. I went to Sainsbury’s and nearly got another test, but I looked at it (like you do with creamcakes) then decided to walk away. So I understand why you feel the need to test.

I understand it’s hard seeing so many pregnant, but is pregnant ladies are so anxious. Even a heartbeat and a scan is not much reassurance to anyone. Flowers

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 10:35

Meant us

fnej01 · 09/06/2019 11:00

@TinyPaws @strawberrye I'm still here TTC. nearly a year on this thread now 😬. I have been away on hols and laying low not wanting to disturb the pregnancy chat as am clearly in a different space. Am 6/7dpo this morning and have started my cyclogest as per RMC protocol. Not totally sure on anything this month as no opk just DTD everyday for two weeks and hoping for the best. Hope you get the blast transfer sorted tiny I bet that is hard work. How are you strawberry?

Congrats to all the bfps ladies definitely feels like a lucky thread. I hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies.

Shout out to my aps crew How are the injections @hayleyfx? @Yukka not long now?

@Pop1234 saw your post about Dr S. I have seen others comment on his lack of bedside manner but clearly he gets results. When do you see him next?

X

strawberrye · 09/06/2019 11:30

@fnej01 hope you had nice hols? How are you finding the cyclogest? I feel the same - will have been on this thread almost 18 months soon. 18 flipping months. You would think I'm 58 not 28 with my fertility!!

I am OK, just popping on here occasionally as I feel like most of the thread is moving on and I'm not. However on the positive side I have now been seen at Tommy's Coventry which was a much more positive experience than my local RMC. I have been given cyclogest for 7DPO onwards and am really hoping that it works. Prof Quenby has told us to try for 6 months with that, and if I get pregnant and still miscarry then she would recommend we start on one of her trials which is beginning in August looking at endometrial receptivity. If I continue to not get pregnant or just have CPs then she will recommend I have IVF on the NHS on the basis we have been TTC for 20 months and have never had a clinical pregnancy. So I feel we have a bit of direction and a plan at least. I will be interested to hear as well if the RMC bloods at Coventry show anything different to those I had done locally.

@Lilimum7 wondering how you are too?

InDreamland · 09/06/2019 11:35

Thank you @strawberrye @Beaglemum93 @Bluebelltulip @AliceRR @Yukka @TinyPaws @rubyroot I know you all speak perfect sense and I should step away from the tests. I won't admit on MN for the next few days when I take more tests . I know I must try to distract myself. So petrified of seeing AF tomorrow (or today). After Friday and yesterday feeling rough, today I feel absolutely fine physically. Lots of energy and just feel good. That isn't a good sign.

@strawberrye I love Aladdin the original Disney animated film and the west end show in London was amazing. My sis wants to see the film with me. Need to find time for us to both go. Did you get the urge to sing along? My sis and I had to stop ourselves when we went to see Beauty and the Beast (we were the only adults in the cinema without kids with us).

@TinyPaws fx the clinic admin start speeding up and sort the transfer out for you asap.

@AliceRR sorry AF has properly shown up now. However, fx this new cycle is the cycle for your rainbow. Will you still see your GP about the spotting?

@fnej01 fx this cycle for you. Hopefully with the support from RMC you'll get your BFP soon.

AliceRR · 09/06/2019 11:54

@rubyroot No don’t feel bad

@strawberrye No I haven’t but I will speak to the gp I think as if there’s anything going that will make it difficult to TTC then I’d rather sort it out sooner than later

@InDreamland Yes exactly it’s a new cycle and by its still early for us in trying for #2 so I’m trying not to get too upset about it. I think I will still see the GP as this isn’t normal for me.

Don’t worry about saying you’ve taken more tests if you do BTW

Treaclepie19 · 09/06/2019 12:00

@InDreamland Aladdin was so good! I struggled not to sing.

Well I'm a bit neurotic over here already. Cycle one and already panicking about doing couch to 5k. I've nearly finished week 2 so not far into it and worried it'll be too much to be doing (I'm very unfit 😱)

Also considering temping so there goes my chilled out approach 😂

AliceRR · 09/06/2019 12:04

But, does anyone know, does it count as spotting if it’s immediately before my period? Last month I had two days of “spotting”, 2 days af, three days “spotting”. This cycle I four days “spotting” and today it’s more af-like so is the “spotting” actually just v light af bleeding?

I was just reading about causes of spotting and something I read suggested it’s not spotting if it’s light bleeding at the beginning or end of a period

🤷🏻‍♀️

AliceRR · 09/06/2019 12:07

The other thing is my PMT was really bad the day before the spotting started four days ago and seemed to go away when my spotting started... so I think it’s just light af and maybe it’s not “spotting” 🤔

Bluebelltulip · 09/06/2019 12:43

@AliceRR I asked the doctor at the review appointment if my unusual length cycles and he said it can take 6 months for things to even out. Obviously if you are worried there is no harm in talking to your GP I just wanted to let you know what I was told. Are you still in contact with your bereavement midwife? She might be able to advice you too.

AliceRR · 09/06/2019 13:08

@Bluebelltulip Yes I think you’re right. From my reading today it seems it’s probably not that unusual for cycles to be a bit irregular only three and a half months after birth. It takes some people months to get their period back at all doesn’t it? Yes I’m in touch with the BM still so I might call her or the gp but I feel more satisfied everything is most likely fine. Annoyingly the consultant asked me at the PM appointment if my period is regular and I just said “yes” (I was probably just distracted with everything). Thanks and sorry, I’m such a worrier! 🙈 x

Avocuddles · 09/06/2019 16:33

Hi everyone.

It's now 2 and a half weeks since my natural MC at c7 weeks. Bleeding stopped around a week ago and I took a negative pregnancy test a few days ago so DH and I are intending on resuming 'normal service', so to speak, although I'm trying to steer clear of OPKs for a month or so as I never achieved positive results in the past which led us to be referred for fertility treatment, which was the point at which I found out i was pregnant!

Today I've had a small amount of dark spotting when I wiped and wondered if anyone has had this? My CM seems a bit different to usual so prior to the spotting I wondered if I was ovulating, but now I'm just confused! I'd assume it's far too early for AF to be on her way?

rubyroot · 09/06/2019 17:12

@strawberrye- Sorry for what you are going through, but it sounds like you are seeing the right people, IVF sounds promising. Hope it doesn't get to that- fingers crossed for you. I know many many people who had multiple miscarriages with healthy babies.
