TTC cycle #1, symptoms?

I've been dithering about posting here because I feel like I might just be overanalysing but I'm not sure. DH and I have started TTC this month, and haven't used any kind of ovulation test but am going with an app. From what I can gather I'm 2/3DPO but that' a rough estimate (though cycles are pretty regular and I've been off the pill for a while so have put all my dates into the app).

The last three or four days have left me feeling really weird - I've had stomach cramps, dizziness, nausea, and threw up a couple of times last night, though in between I'm perfectly fine, although tired. I'm assuming I've probably picked up a bug and it's just wishful thinking that these might be symptoms, as it seems really early and is far too early to POAS but I'm going slightly mad here waiting. I guess I'm wondering if anybody has experienced similar so soon after ovulation, or if I shouldn't be getting my hopes up at this point?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome!
Presuming you’re right about your O date, it takes a minimum of 6 days for implantation and a then around 3 days after that for your hormones to change in response (such as production of HCG), so it’s pretty unlikely unless you’ve gotten your O date wrong.

Do you know when AF is due? I ask as you can use that to calculate the days in your luteal phase (the phase of your cycle after O). Luteal phases are 12-14 days usually, and this might help you understand if you’ve calculated your O date correctly?

I hope this helps!

Thank you! AF due 23rd May so I suspect it's still too early for anything. Guess I've picked up some sort of bug which is making me feel rotten in that case.

No worries at all, I wish I had better news for you!
I hope you’re feeling better soon, and the very best of luck 😊

@0teaandtoast0 my AF is due same day as you.I would say it is too early for symptoms, mind plays tricks on us and its horrible 😔. I am hoping its third time lucky for me this time. Fingers crossed this is your month xx

Thank you both! I am wondering whether this is partly due to anxiety around it all - I hadn't realised how lonely this would be and I guess I also hadn't worked out quite how desperate I am for that BFP.

@dottyp0104 Fingers crossed for you that it's third time lucky! Will be thinking of you - let me know how it goes?

Morning!!

It can be a really lonely place, especially when you’re prone to overthinking (as I am!!)

I think the important thing to remember is that it’s totally normal to:
a) feel how you feel and,
b) not to conceive on cycle number 1

My thought process for that is this thread and the hundreds of others like it! We’re all feeling the same, and in the same boat, so try and take comfort from that :)

We will get there!
