Hi everyone! I’ve started a new thread as we are dangerously close to 1000 posts in the last one! I’ll add a link to it now :) Here’s hoping it’s a lucky one!

Hey ladies, sorry I struggle to keep up to date with work being so busy! Is anyone planning on testing soon? Xx

1990shopefulftm · 14/05/2019 19:22

little nervous to take a test in the morning, should be around 14dpo and know it's unlikely to have caught in our first try but hopefully at least i'll have an answer for this month.

DayDreamer1707 · 14/05/2019 19:59

@1990shopefulftm good luck for the money, everything crossed for you x

honeylove · 14/05/2019 20:17

Hi all,

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in on the post but I have some happy news to share. AF was due on Friday and I held off got my BFP today! (3 to be exact, I was in disbelief)

I’d taken some time off from posting and thinking about TTC and it’s definitely paid off. Hoping all you lovelies get your BFP soon! Xx

@daydreamer1707 thank you :)

@honeylove congratulations :)

Tashdreams · 14/05/2019 20:26

Can someone answer what is probably a very blonde qn please?
I’ve been reading up on opk’s & the test strips I’ve got are the cheap variety - following some people’s comments I’ve taken a look at the CB ones, and I’m a little confused. The CB website advises testing first thing in the morning using your post sleep pee, whereas everything else I’ve read has suggested to not use this first pee, and to wait til later in the day?

Any tips are appreciated, I feel like I’ve been peeing on sticks for the last few months in vain 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Tashdreams · 14/05/2019 20:27

@honeylove congratulations! Here’s wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months 😊

Dollywilde · 14/05/2019 20:47

@honeylove congratulations! May I ask which cycle this is for you?

Thanks to everyone (too many to tag) for the reassurance re ovulation. I’ve managed to get myself in a real frame of mind about it - very typical for me. Guess we just need to keep trying and keep fingers crossed.

Dollywilde · 14/05/2019 20:50

In particular @purplefig thanks for the advice re temping. Too late for this cycle I suspect but may consider it next time to put my mind at ease.

Mum caught with me first month and was my exact age now when she had me. I think it’s just messing with me head a bit.

Marleym28 · 14/05/2019 21:05

I've just finished AF which was quite light and had day 1 of flashy smiley today (think I wrote static earlier by mistake).
This evening, I've had pre period feeling cramps. But it's right in the centre. Just feels really heavy and uncomfy.

I do sometimes get cramps at ov but it's usually one side or another, not the middle.

Anyone else get this?

honeylove · 14/05/2019 21:11

Thank you both! @1990shopefulftm @Tashdreams

Thank you @Dollywilde, this is officially cycle 6, we have been very lucky. I’d pretty much given up by cycle 3 and felt deflated about it all so took some time away from posting/thinking about it - which isn’t easy! Keep your chin up, I’m sure things will come good for you very soon x

ELW85 · 14/05/2019 22:07

@Purplefig - an impromptu date night is the best kind!! I hope you’ve had an amazing time :)

@honeylove - congratulations! It’s lovely news and a nice reminder that we will get there.

I’m back from the gym so feeling more positive!
And way too awake to sleep, unfortunately as I’m getting up for a train to Edinburgh tomorrow - I hope you Edinburgh-based ladies are keeping the sunshine to hand!!

DayDreamer1707 · 15/05/2019 06:43

@honeylove massive congrats to you and I agree sometimes taking a step back helps a lot. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months x

@Tashdreams I used the IC for OPKs and used to use one at lunch time and when I got home from work. They always seemed to work fine for me. Each test is slightly different I suppose x

We seem to be having a lot of positive news at the moment, hope this continues! Due AF tomorrow and still pretty nervous. Don't think anything will seem really till I see those 2 lines on a frer.

Lozzlepop · 15/05/2019 06:58

@Meenabeena precisely! I know this thread has really been invaluable and I love following everyone’s stories and the combined knowledge and support network is just fab ☺️

@honeylove massive congratulations ☺️

@ELW85 oooh the weather in Edinburgh is lovely at the minute ☀️I’m back to the gym today 😬

@DayDreamer1707 I have everything crossed for you this morning!

Calling all OPK experts, I started doing OPKs this month as we don’t want to fall pregnant again too soon! I’ve attached my results from days 13-18 where CD1 was the first day of the miscarriage. I usually OV somewhere between CD16/18 not sure if pregnancy hormones have still been having about? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Meenabeena · 15/05/2019 07:03

Congratulations @honeylove :) xx

LokiCat · 15/05/2019 07:05

Morning ladies!

@purplefig I hope you enjoyed your impromptu date night and are feeling better today! x

@honeylove congratulations! Wishing you a healthy 9 months x

@1990shopefulftm fingers crossed for testing this morning 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@Tashdreams it may be that with the CB digital you have to use first morning urine, whereas most others suggest afternoon..
I've always tested after I got home from work with my IC tests apart from this cycle I tested fmu and afternoon.

@DayDreamer1707 fingers crossed af doesn't show up tomorrow and the bfp sticks! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@Lozzlepop sorry if you've said this already, but have you had a negative on a pregnancy test since your mc? They do look very similar in colour. Unless it is due to ovulation?
Hopefully someone with more answers will come along soon.. sorry mines just guess work!

Lozzlepop · 15/05/2019 07:14

@DayDreamer1707 just realised that today is only Wednesday 🤦🏽‍♀️😭

@LokiCat this may be a silly answer but I didn’t think about taking a pregnancy test- the hospital never mentioned it 😒

LokiCat · 15/05/2019 07:32

@Lozzlepop no, not silly! Hospital didn't say anything to me either. When I was googling for advice about when to start trying I read that waiting until you've had a negative pregnancy test first, to make sure it's all clear. No confusion when you do get a BFP about whether it's from a new pregnancy.
May be worth taking a test? Or see if you can get a blood test to see if the hormones are all gone?

1990shopefulftm · 15/05/2019 08:05

Got a BFN this morning, should be around 14 dpo so seems like i m out this month. AF was early last month so hoping it comes in the next two days so to start month 2.

PaintingOwls · 15/05/2019 08:21

Morning all! I'm going away for work for a couple of days which falls right over my fertile days by sod's law. We DTD last night and I decided to use pre-seed and GOOD LORD I hate the stuff. I don't remember it being so awful, I haven't used it since Christmas. Sorry about the TMI but DP struggled to get there and I am a bit sore this morning Blush At least I'll get time to recover I suppose!

honeylove huge congratulations!

ELW85 · 15/05/2019 08:46

@Lozzlepop it’s glorious! I’m still on the train and will be stuck in an office all day but Edinburgh is one of my favourite places, so looking forward to arriving 😊

@PaintingOwls I can’t get away with PreSeed either. I’m sure it is massively helpful, and I’ll give it another go, but I’m a bit traumatised from the first time, haha!

Quick question ladies; I got my surge on 13th but on morning of 14th it was back to high, so assuming O was night of 13th, would I count today as 2DPO or 1DPO?

Lozzlepop · 15/05/2019 08:52

@LokiCat thanks for the advice, I know we wanted to have one full cycle before trying so was just doing the OPKs out of interest. I have ordered some more along with some ICs and will test when they arrive unless AF shows up- actually looking forward to her coming so I can get the ball rolling again! Lol who thought those words would ever be uttered!

@ELW85 be a nice day for a train journey, are you up for long?

ELW85 · 15/05/2019 09:00

@Lozzlepop - sadly just today but was up a couple of weekends ago too.
Used to live here (just arrived) and having withdrawal symptoms, haha!

Lozzlepop · 15/05/2019 09:05

@ELW85 awww lovely, don't work to hard and hopefully you can get out at lunch for a bit! Also sorry I am not 100% sure on your surge question do you temp or use OPKs?
