Hi everyone! I’ve started a new thread as we are dangerously close to 1000 posts in the last one! I’ll add a link to it now :) Here’s hoping it’s a lucky one!

@Sunshine41 could you get an appointment with someone else? Seems a bit odd they'd want to operate without knowing for sure that it would help? If you've been trying for 6 months I think it's definitely worth pressing them for more investigations

@Lozzlepop Oh totally - I'm going to live voraciously through you. A week of chilling sounds perfect! That said, the weather down here in the south west is GORGEOUS too and I ended up spending far too long at the beach yesterday, but the dog and I were just having too much fun in the water. (Always blame the dog).

@purplefig - I hear ya!! I had to remember to not give DH a hard time (pardon the pun) over not being able to BD last night.

@Lozzlepop thanks. It's gorgeous is Edinburgh today isn't it. Sadly stuck in work til 5! My DH is an Xmas eve baby too! He's quite glad we should miss that as a due date now!

According to this chart, I have only a 11-12% (I'm 28) of conceiving each month as I have been trying for 9 months. That seems incredibly low?!

I'm so out! Temp drop and pms ahoy. Hoping to have my date for HSG confirmed.

That Ava chart doesn’t make sense to me - without a change to the environment/variables, why would it cumulatively decline??

@ELW85 ahhhh sorry I missed that. Is it temp change or OPK? Because if it's positive OPK SMEP suggests doing it 3 days from +?

I know it seems bonkers but it's kind of depressed me nonetheless. 11%?!!?!?!? That seems crazy low.

@LikeTheFruit are you from Edinburgh? Yes I wasn't keen on having a Xmas baby and was well smug that I was due in November and didn't need to miss the festive drinks haha!

@purplefig haha me and DH made a deal that we'd indulge in desserts if we walk there rather than driving.. so I basically burned off everything I ate (that's how it works, right?!).
That Ava chart does seem incredibly low.. that can't be right!

@Lozzlepop sounds brilliant! I think we will book that soon, hopefully. We've got a safari holiday coming up at the end of June which I can't wait for!!
Sun and blue skies are are out in London! Our office always has the air con blasting though due to the number of computers so bare legs isn't an option! I'm always freezing in here!!

@purplefig no worries! Got a solid smiley yesterday (couldn’t BD but have done it the past 3 days) and used strip this morning to see if it was still peak or just high and it’s gone to high, so I’m thinking maybe we’ve missed the boat?

@LokiCat haha yes. 100% how it works. Yeah I'm just going to try and forget that chart. I already feel like a 20-30% chance is low....! Your safari holiday sounds INCREDIBLE by the way, I've always quite fancied one of them. Where are you going?

@ELW85 sounds like you're covered if you did the last three days. I think there's a slightly higher chance if it's the day before rather than ovulation.

@purplefig I hate charts and stats on TTC and pregnancy - as far as I’m concerned so much of it is all down to luck and the freakin’ planets all aligning on the same night! Yes I did SMEP this month but so many just DTD once and catch. There’s no science to it at all, it’s a roll of the dice every month!!

@MrsEG I'm sure you're right. It's just been 9 months and not even a hint of anything for me. The year deadline feels like it's creeping up fast. I wish I'd had more realistic expectations going in. Right I'm going to stop moaning and go and make a cup of tea.

I cannot believe how lovely the weather is today! I think as soon as the temp rises over 20 on a work day it should be an automatic afternoon off!!!

Do we have any testers this week, anyone nearing the end of their TWW?

@MrsEG - I'm 7DPO and due Monday, so will be trying to stop myself testing at the weekend

@ELW85 If you wait for day of Ov, chances are you have possibly waited too late. It’s always best to be DTD in the days leading up to ov too, to ensure there’s plenty of sperm up there ready and waiting for the egg to be released! Those who only DTD on ov day have a much smaller chance of catching it.

@ LokiCat awwww that will be amazing, I have always fancied a safari! Haha I am that person that always turns the heating down and opens the windows- there's a constant battle going on in our office!

Thanks @MrsEG! It’s a minefield - to think I didn’t even know that my cycle had phases at the start of this year feels ridiculous to me knowing what I know now.
Wish we’d gotten educated about this somehow but appreciate High School probably wasn’t the right time or place!
