Increase in heart rate - sign of pregnancy?

Just the above really. My heart rate when resting is around 100 - 110 bpm. A few weeks ago it was 85-90. I have started excerising so don't know if it's due to that.

Anyone?

Not in and of itself. Rhr can be used over time to track down violation ( like bbt). An individual reading means nothing though.

Resting heart rate does increase during pregnancy - my last pregnancy which ended up being ectopic it was 110bpm at around 5 weeks

Hearing my heart thumping in my ear (which is from having an increased heart rate) is one of the pregnancy symptoms i always seem to get x

I always look for this on my fitbit so will be exciting if it's true for you? Mine doesn't go up that much even with heat/exercising. PAOS!

It's not the only symptom but combined with DTD two days before conception, spotting earlier this week and a sometimes metallic taste in my mouth. AF is due today so we shall see.

Just to be a bit clearer: a sustained rhr lasting more than 18 days in a row is indicative of pregnancy. Rhr increases after ovulation, regardless of whether or not you're pregnant. It can be used in much the same way as bbt.

Thank you @PhysicsKate, I was unaware of that. Definitely worth keeping in mind.

I've just checked again and it's still 101bpm. My normal is around 85bpm.
In all honesty, I don't know what's causing it. I haven't changed medication. I went to the gym yesterday but only did a gentle workout for 30 minutes.
AF still hasn't arrived.

Mine definitely went up at the beginning of this pregnancy and I could hear and feel my heartbeat when laying in bed each night. I stopped noticing it after a few weeks and my rhr is back down lower now at 36 weeks.

Turns out it was an indicator. I POAS and it was very positive!!

Anxiety and illness can raise your heart rate, if your heart rate is that at resting, I would advise you go see your GP.

Aww congratulations! Smile
