Positive ovulation tests for six days in a row - now a positive pregnancy test??

Hi all, I really hope someone can help me.

8 weeks ago I had to terminate a 12 week pregnancy that was incompatible with life and I haven't had a period since. From the 24th to the 29th April I took cheapy pregnancy tests which gave me a reeeeally faint (like you could barely see unless squinting at an angle) positive on each one, though they didn't seem to be getting any darker. On the 30th I took a clearblue digital that said Not Pregnant, so I thought that was that.

Started using OPKs and for the past 6 days they have all been positive. Bit unusual for me so did some googling that led me to taking another pregnancy test this afternoon - it came out very clearly positive.

Whats happening with my body?? I got the Not Pregnant result only 6 days ago, why would I get a positive cheapy test today? Could I actually possibly be pregnant again? Or is my body just STILL full of leftover hcg? This is all such a massive headache...

I've attached a photo of the ovulation tests (green) and the pregnancy test (blue). I'd be so grateful for any insight.

Thank you @VenussStar, can't wait to get on the phone to the midwife tomorrow - I'm so worried about this brown spotting/discharge. I need to step away from google, I keep reading stories of it going either way.

Thanks @MummyBearBoo, I did get a Not Pregnant result on a clearblue digital two weeks ago and then a week after that (so last week now) I took another and it said Pregnant 2-3 Weeks.
Hopefully you get a sooner appointment, how far along are you now? I'm hoping the midwife I call tomorrow can see me soon.

Little update, I rang the specialist midwife team and they have booked me in for a viability scan in two weeks time. Smile I reckon I should roughly be about 8 weeks.
I also have a booking appointment with a community midwife next week, I'm hoping she'll let me offload all my worries to her.

If your spotting continues then they should be able to fit you in more quickly for a scan at the EPU.

VenusStarr · 14/05/2019 11:47

That's great news @PastaSauceHoarder :) you can offload here too x

MummyBearBoo · 14/05/2019 19:58

Sounds promising then @PastaSauceHoarder -usually you only need to worry if you bleed red blood i wouldn't worry about brown discharge coz of the hormones you tend to get darker and more discharge in pregnancy. I see the midwife Thursday and my scan is booked for 11th June I'm 5weeks + 2 days xx

MummyBearBoo · 14/05/2019 20:00

Although if they base on the first day of my last period I'd be 7 weeks + 2 days xx

PastaSauceHoarder · 15/05/2019 10:32

Thanks @SirVixofVixHall, thankfully the spotting seems to have died down a lot rather than gotten worse. Still nervous but at least its not gotten heavier or darker or anything.

Thank you @VenussStar, I don't want to tell anyone about this pregnancy this time so its nice to be able to talk about it here. I'd love to see how you get on as well, hopefully we'll both have babies in our arms early next year.

Do you also get to have early scans because of your previous TFMR, @MummyBearBoo? I suppose thats that one good thing in all of this, I already feel very looked after.

Thata good news @PastaSauceHoarder - No I've had an early scan every pregnancy coz they have to be able to tell when 11 weeks is for the CVS so I have to be scanned around 8 weeks as that's when it's most accurate! It's a 50/50 chance as to whether I can continue with the pregnancy or not I have to be tested every time the TFMR was because if the results of that test last time xx

Awww congratulations, lovely news.
I had positive ovulation test for 6days in a row now. Any advise or anyone know why this would be. Thanks in advance x

CaptainSpirit · 20/05/2020 23:51

Oh my goodness, this is my old thread under my first username!! Crazy to see this pop up again! Grin

@Connie1991, DEFINITELY take a pregnancy test!! Happy to report that my little line on a stick is now a four and a half month old baby girl and is peacefully snoozing away next to me. Smile

Ovulation tests can act like pregnancy tests and pick up HCG, definitely worth testing to find out!

Connie1991 · 21/05/2020 11:12

Hello,
I have just found this thread. I have been going crazy during me TWW and thinking I have all symptoms but I’m making them up in my head! Been feeling nauseated for days and have just got a positive ovulation test and I’m 10dpo?!
Does this mean I’m pregnant or ovulating again?! Don’t want to get my hopes up! Xx
