Missing af - bfn - cd 38

Af a week late and all tests bfn frer and cheapy strips used. On cd 38 had positive opk on 6th april so ovulation around then. Previously cycles were 28 days and last month 31 days, feeling confused. Hubby telling me to go docs but im sure they wont do anything yet. I know stressing wont help but argh!

Any ideas?

@mrsc1987 I am in an identical boat to you!
Didn't use opks but my last cycles have been 28-30 days and I'm on CD37 with BFNs every single morning, argh! Angry The Drs weren't very helpful, they said to wait another week test again and ring them back.

I'm a few days behind you ladies, CD 33 usually 28, bfn's. Feeling so nauseous today but I think that's because I'm a bag of nerves.

I want a BFP or my period, not too much to ask now is it 😬

I had this my last cycle - AF eventually CD40. Cycles normally 29-32 days. Currently CD37 BFN and was hoping for a normal cycle this time :(

@lewk I'm curious to ask, has anything changed for you to create these long cycles? Like excess stress or changes in weight?

No changes for me as far as i am aware so not sure what would be causing it for me, trying not to stress now as it will probably only prolong it further

No weight change or excess stress, I did have some jet lag during my last cycle which was maybe why it was 40 days, but none this cycle which would explain this one being long too. That's why it's so frustrating Sad

I got my 21day progesterone test back, results were low so either I ovulated late or didn't ovulate at all. Seeing gynaecologist next week.

Just want my AF now! I'm definitely not pregnant. Want to start cycle again as need day 3 bloods and a repeat of 21 in case it was a one off

@lori2019 I had my 21 day blood test but I was doing opks and ovulated 8 days late so I requested it doing again and my Dr obliged so I eventually got the right reading and you should too x

@LifeOfRiley63 The GP I saw for the results wasn't my usual one, pretty unhelpful in explaining anything - told me to wait to see the consultant next week and he would know what to do. Just said if AF arrives to make appointment for Day3

I’ve just had this, was 6 days late had all the symptoms and this morning AF came 😞 I hope it’s a different outcome for you fingers crossed 🤞

Snap ladies, I'm never late but this week I've had spotting on an of but I dont feel pregnant. Been ttc for 2 years now so i know never to get my hope up.... af was due Tuesday so I'm cd35

Sorry you're in the same boat owlpatrol. Does anyone know what can cause long cycles/late AF? Another BFN today so def not pregnant. After coming off the pill I had 4 normal cycles of 29-34 days and this and the last cycle have been 40 days+. Is it a problem with ovulation do you think?

Back from seeing Gynae- she said delayed period is likely caused from delayed ovulation, one ovary may be 'lazy'. Or it can be hormonal in balance. Booked in for another attempt at getting 21day bloods, but this time will be easier as I can change the date easily depending on when I get positive opk or ovulation pains. She's being more flexible than GP was.

Then have scans booked for June and bf needs semen analysis before then. Her plan is to start me on clomid then.
