Hello!
New joiner and It's my first post (so be kind ha)!

I've got two months to go to get the post Zika travel all clear and then we've decided to try for our first.

I've got my folic acid ready to start taking (yes, overly prepared) and I've stopped my mini-pill as soon as we got back from our honeymoon (best on the pill over a decade so a little nervous on that front - even though research says it's no problem).

I know TTC can take a month or years (if at all) so I have no idea what to expect on this journey.

I'd love to know if any one in the same boat?
And any tips and tricks (outside of the obvious: lots of sexy time)?

I'd love to hear all your conception stories (whether trying or already happy parents) and maybe find a friend or two along the way.

I say this as gently as possible, but you are REALLY overthinking this. Just relax and enjoy your marriage and sex life. If after trying for a year with no success, then maybe you might want to seek medical advice, but until then, just live your life and have fun. Travel, drink wine, have weekends away, and enjoy being just the 2 of you. Being so consumed with trying to conceive is actually quite detrimental in your attempt to do so!

@aquamarine1029

You're probably right, I'm a planner by nature (and profession) so it's almost inherit in me. Though my intention wasn't to stop enjoying life, but rather to hear other people's stories and hopefully find a friend or two along the way.

Hi @aquamarine and welcome. I'm a newbie too 😁 I totally understand where you're coming from in terms of being a planner - it's also a big aspect of my job too! People say I'm a very easy going person but when it comes to ttc, well I'm not really 😋 it's cycle 3 for me following a chemical on our first try. So really want to be pregnant again! From what I've read too worrying about trying to get pregnant doesn't actually hinder you at all, that's more extreme stress like a bereavement etc that might do that. So good luck to you, and you never know, it could happen faster than you think 😉
