AF dates confusion, help

Ok so I need a little help here. I normally have a 33 day cycle. Last month I was 12 days late, tested a few times that resulted in bfps. Going by my normal cycle, I’d be due af today but It’s not arrived. So my question is, because I was late last month does that move my cycle days on? I’ve been using opks and got positives around 2 weeks after five or take a few days but then also just used somemore this past week and I was getting positives again for three days up untill 2 days ago. Now they’re negative. I’m so confused with all these questions I can’t find answers too

Ok sorry that was a lot of info, can you list what it is your questioning just to make sure I have understood what your say.

Are you 33 days from your last period? If not, then I'd say you're not late.

It could be that if you had a bfp then came on it was a chemical pregnancy so that may have impacted on your ovulation date.
Sounds like you geared up to ovulate then didn't. Do you track your temperature to confirm ovulation? If you've had positive opks this week, I'd expect your period in a couple of weeks.

@venusstarr yes I’m on cycle day 35, which if I were to go on normal cycle I would be 2 days late. I tested throughout the 12 days and all I was getting were bfn. No I don’t temp Or anything. I had positive opks around day 14 and then again last week.

@beanchopper I’m just wanting to know that if my last period started on cycle day 45 will that now mean I have a 45 day cycle? Or will it be what I normally have which is 33 days which makes me 2 days late?

@Starry1234 it should in theory still be 33, it's possible you had a one off long cycle last time. However if you are prone to irregularness, sadly and simply cycle length doesn't mean anything.

I am very irregular so makes tracking very difficult. Plus I have been known to ovulate twice in one cycle (it's because I don't drop an egg the first time round so my body tries again). I have gone from the extremes of no period for over a year to bleeding solid for 10months. Pretty much always late, with medication I have got it down to 34-36 day cycles but this one and my last one are 40days +. I just take what I get, when I get it.

So unfortunately there's no 100% answer, apart from tracking and testing

@beanchopper thank you for that. It’s made more sense now. Since coming off the pill last August I’ve regulated at 33 days. I had a miscarriage in December so just been ttc from there. Last month when I was 12 days late I was hoping for bfp but it never came. So In reality im 2 days over. I don’t know if I should test or not. I have no symptoms what so ever though

To be fair if your on day 35 then take a test, if its negative don't be discouraged as you could of ovulated late so you are in with a chance until period shows up, good luck 🤞🏻

@beanchopper I took a test Monday and Tuesday and they were both negative. I had the worst cramp and back ache Monday was so pain full. Just got blood when I wiped today so hopefully it’s implantation. I got a positive opks 6 days ago. Cd 31 and Also cd 19
