Anyone else suddenly started spotting?

So I know no one can possibly tell me if im pregnant or not but I’m wondering if anyone else has just suddenly experienced spotting before their period?
AF is due on weds and today I have had light brown spotting. I’ve had crazy symptoms for the past week and a bit that I’ve never experienced before, in particular sore boobs, nausea and bloating that has now disappeared. I am putting these down to PMS symptoms in a bid to avoid symptom spotting (literally impossible) but the new spotting today is taking everything in me to not get my hopes up.

Is that a pregnancy or ovulation test @theonlymrsa ?

Beanchopper · 16/05/2019 20:34

@pinkoi I am so sorry to hear that. Has the gp been tracking your hcg levels in your blood to see if it's going down? How many weeks are you?

Big hugs!

pinkoi · 16/05/2019 22:38

@Beanchopper

Nope - No blood test, no scan. They just said my pee on a stick test was negative (so I felt like a total tit) and gave me a leaflet and off home I went. Told us ok to start trying again straight away as test was neg.

I did say that even on evening before my tests were still coming up as strong as before I started to bleed but she just said my tests must have been really sensitive and they wouldn't be positive now. I have to admit I did another cheapy stick test that evening so I could see it negative with my own eyes (so I knew we were good to start again) and that was still as positive as the ones I posted on this thread on Friday. I have one FRER left which I will use in a week or so to check it's out of my system.

Hope all goes well with you xxx

@Beanchopper

Forgot to add I would have been around 6w based on last definite period, but I think I may have ovulated later.

No idea how long the tests will stay positive for 🤷‍♀️

TheOnlyMrsA · 16/05/2019 22:58

@pinkoi I'm so sorry sweetie I've been there myself recently so I really feel your pain chicken. Just try again.

My test was a positive pregnancy test @Beanchopper.

Congrats to all the BFPs!!

My spotting started really early - Tuesday and AF is due on Sunday today it’s gotten really heavy I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been travelling but disappointed because I had a really metallic taste but I guess I’m just run down 🙄

Best of luck @beclaboo hope you get good news soon 🤞🏻

That looks like a strong positive @theonlymrsa have you been to gp yet to get it confirmed?

Beanchopper · 20/05/2019 15:27

@pinkoi I really am sorry you have to go through this. It's all happened so fast your head must be spinning! Try to take it easy for a few days. They say the 3 months after a chemical you are more fertile, but maybe taking a month off from ttc might be an idea? Go catch up with friends, have some date nights with your partner.

Keep us updated how you get on hun 😘

Sadly today I lost the pregnancy, started bleeding this morning, went for a scan (would be 5weeks today) she couldn't find anything. They took bloods, hcg is currently 630, I am expected to go back Thursday to have more bloods to see if they double or decline. But this evening I have had intense cramps and heavy red bleeding has started. So I think I have my confirmation.

pinkoi · 22/05/2019 17:03

@Beanchopper I'm so sorry to hear this.

I know some people bleed a bit, but if it's heavy and cramps I guess it's more worrying.

Just take care of yourself xxx

Lots of love

@beanchopper I hope you are ok, how did it go yesterday?

Beanchopper · 24/05/2019 11:07

I got my blood results, they have dropped from 630 to 216, so it's a confirmed miscarriage.

I am trying to focus on the positive that I got pregnant without help, I now have 3 months that apparently women are more fertile after a loss.

I am heartbroken after all these years of trying, the one pregnancy I have had went away so quickly but I am hopeful about the future.

pinkoi · 24/05/2019 16:51

@Beanchopper - I'm sorry this has happened to you too.

I have found the folk on the miscarriage thread really kind and knowledgeable.

Be kind to yourself and make sure you reach out to those around you when you feel ok to do so. However you feel is ok.

At first I was just keeping it all a secret until I realised that the more of my friends I told, the easier it felt.

@beanchopper thanks for replying in this sad time. Wanted to check on you, so sorry to hear this and as @pinkoi kindly said, be kind to yourself and look after yourself 😘

Hi girls sorry for the slow responses I've been working away this week (shooting in London etc)

I'm so sorry to hear of your sad loss was expecting to check in to happy news from you all. 😩

How are you feeling in yourselves ladies?

up to now we're good, don't need to have pregnancy confirmed in our area you just self refer to the midwives, which I did and due to my underlying health issues I've had a scan where we saw the sac, I go back the first week in June for a scan and progress report xox
