Anyone else suddenly started spotting?

So I know no one can possibly tell me if im pregnant or not but I’m wondering if anyone else has just suddenly experienced spotting before their period?
AF is due on weds and today I have had light brown spotting. I’ve had crazy symptoms for the past week and a bit that I’ve never experienced before, in particular sore boobs, nausea and bloating that has now disappeared. I am putting these down to PMS symptoms in a bid to avoid symptom spotting (literally impossible) but the new spotting today is taking everything in me to not get my hopes up.

@Beclaboo @Mummytoboyxx is there a difference in first response early detection and first response rapid response? Because they only had rapid response in Asda so I didn't get it

Mamabear12 · 23/04/2019 19:50

I had spotting before my period was due (but I normally get spotting before my period)....and I am pregnant! My first two pregnancies I did not spot before periods and no spotting before or during pregnancy. I am not 5 weeks and 3 days.

Beanchopper · 23/04/2019 20:12

@Mamabear12 wow congrats! How long after the spotting did you get your BFP?

Mamabear12 · 23/04/2019 20:35

The day my period was due, which was 5 days later. Although, I didn’t properly test I think as the days before I didn’t look at the stick long enough I think. Day my period was due I looked at stick like 2-3 mins before line became very clear. The only reason I waited is bc my period is never late and if anything I should have started the day before. So I knew something must be up. When I got home a few days later confirmed it with a clear blue digital and it said 2-3 weeks pregnant. Today it says 3 + weeks.

When is your period due?

Beclaboo · 23/04/2019 20:35

@beanchopper I don’t think so, they’re both early detection, although I’m sure there is some small difference

@mamabear12 congratulations!! Flowers

@Mamabear12 oh that's brilliant, have you been trying long?

Well my cycle is anything 34days plus, so technically period is due Thursday but with my irregularness could be any day 😂

@Beclaboo I will look in Superdrug/boots tomorrow, it's all very confusing. Having more pains this evening so hoping af stays away! Did you pick up a test for tomorrow?

Beclaboo · 23/04/2019 20:53

@beanchopper I have indeed! Although it may go to waste. For the past two weeks I feel I’ve had really mad PMS symptoms (therefore in my head must be pregnancy) but now I have a really strong feeling my period is going to start any minute now. Really weird!

Beanchopper Have you tried vitamins and looking at diet to make your periods more regular? I did this, as sometimes I would get a short cycle and it sorted it out. With my first two dc I had clock work 28 day cycle and got pregnant first try with both. My youngest is 5 now and we decided to go for a third. I think we properly tried a total of 4 times before we got pregnant. When I say properly, I mean just before or day of ovulation. There were a couple months we dtd a day after ovulation (but thought you never know!). We only manage to do the deed once a month unfortunately. My dh has a low sex drive due to some pills he took for hairloss years ago. I also made my husband start taking vitamins a few months ago. He is 8 years older then me so I was also worried about his age. I’m 36 so no spring chicken either.

I started taking a prenatal, but would also use a vitamin D spray sometimes, vitamin C tablet sometimes and berroca. Not daily though. But I would take for example either a prenatal or the next day vitamin D spray and vitamin C tablet. And then prenatal and then next day berroca. I tried to eat more salmon, nuts and seeds. But nuts and seeds break me out so didn’t go too crazy on those!

Mamabear12 · 23/04/2019 21:12

Also, must add I was so sure my period was coming with the spotting (even though it was barely there) and feeling bloated so I brought packets of pads and a box of tampons on my beach holiday. I frankly daily while on holiday until I got a positive. I was seriously surprised I was pregnant. My main symptom is major bloating! (Prior to period being due).

Mamabear12 · 23/04/2019 21:13

*drank daily - not frankly!

Beanchopper · 23/04/2019 21:17

@Beclaboo I have everything crossed for you hun that sf stays away! Good luck for your FMU 🤞🏻

@Mamabear12 I am on a lot of different tablets at the min cause I have an under active thyroid and insulin resistant. I have been told I need to loose 4 stone to get fertility help cause I have been trying about 3 years (even though been with my hubby 10 years and never really prevented pregnancy) we know the issue is me as my hubby has had his sperm tested and he's fine.
It's why when I see a faint line I get my hopes up, but I had so many false positives last cycle (dodgy cheap tests). So I won't believe it till the line is darker or digital tells me.

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 07:52

@beanchopper AF was here first thing this morning 🙄 at least I know I’m always regular 😂 and to know that I can ignore any symptoms going forward as it is just awful PMS

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 07:54

@Beclaboo sadly I think my faint line yest was either false or evap cause 2 tests this morning say negative 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Beclaboo how have you got on 🤞🏻

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 10:07

@beanchopper I can see something on the strips, I would wait for AF now (although hopefully she doesn’t show) I think our messages crossed, mine is as above 😂

OP posts:
Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 10:47

@Beclaboo I can't see anything above 🙃

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 11:03

@Beclaboo also the blue strip test with the line is an OPK haha

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 11:21

@beanchopper oh I see!!
Ah how weird! AF came as expected this morning so at least I know I’m very regular still I suppose!

OP posts:
Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 12:13

@Beclaboo sorry to hear that, but means a new cycle 🤞🏻

Well af is due tomorrow, I feel like she's not gunna show up, which isn't unusual for me because of being regular. I am glad I didn't get too excited about the faint line yest, I guess I learnt my lesson from all the false positives last cycle. Until it's dark actual line I won't believe it. Now to just wait until af shows up 🤷🏼‍♀️

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 13:51

@beanchopper - that’s very true and I’ve learnt to assume all symptoms are PMS and that’s it 🙄😂

I hope your AF shows up soon then, either than or you get your BFP no in between!

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 14:37

@Beclaboo oh yeah I never trust symptoms to more, drive yourself mad! The brown spotting is a new one though, it's all so very confusing 🤦🏼‍♀️

Coffeebrew · 24/04/2019 15:40

I wrote an almost identical post on here today lol, this could be me to a T. I have been spotting on and off very light pink blood since sunday 21st. Period due any time between 21st and today 24th as sometimes 28 day or 32 cycle.
I did a test yesterday which was negative but am wondering when best to test again, as i don't think I have built up enough hornome to show yet. I have had very light tummy cramps and my breasts feel fuller than normal, plus i am hungry and thirsty all the time. Definitely no heavy, clotty, painful period which would be normal for me.
Very interested on anyones thoughts on this post.

Beanchopper · 24/04/2019 18:17

@Coffeebrew test again in a few days or if your an addict like me then with FMU. Try not to symptom spot, you will drive yourself mad. I know some symptoms are hard to ignore (like the spotting but our bodies do weird and wonderful things that make no sense to us and everyone is different.

Good luck to you though, keep us updated how you get on 🤞🏻

Coffeebrew · 24/04/2019 18:42

@Beanchopper thank you for your reply. It's a long struggle for us with unknown fertility issues and failed treatment, that now seems to have triggered me conceiving naturally , but keeping it longer than a few weeks is proving difficult with several MC, which is why now my new gynecologist has said she will prescribe clexain injections if i get a positive test this time. But, despite knowing my own body, it's reassuring to see you say everyone is different, as the intetnet makes one feel you should conform to 'normal' symptoms, when it's not the norm in reality is it.

Beclaboo · 24/04/2019 21:01

@beanchopper I know 😟 that damn spotting! Also I noticed in my local Tesco that tampons etc are in the same aisle as baby stuff. How cruel 😂

@coffeebrew so sorry to hear about your MCs Flowers will keep my fingers crossed for you!!
