Anyone else suddenly started spotting?

So I know no one can possibly tell me if im pregnant or not but I’m wondering if anyone else has just suddenly experienced spotting before their period?
AF is due on weds and today I have had light brown spotting. I’ve had crazy symptoms for the past week and a bit that I’ve never experienced before, in particular sore boobs, nausea and bloating that has now disappeared. I am putting these down to PMS symptoms in a bid to avoid symptom spotting (literally impossible) but the new spotting today is taking everything in me to not get my hopes up.

@kell2126 extremely frustrating, with all the false positives last month I refuse to believe it till there's a clear line, I may even push the boat out and get a frer if there's a clearer line tomorrow.

How many DPO / days late are you?

@Beanchopper was due on yesterday at the latest (am 16dpo today). How about you? Are you still spotting at all? Today and yesterday I’ve had a couple of brown specks on pantyliner but that’s it.

I’ll also test with a FRER with tomorrow morning fmu - please keep me updated and fx for us both for tomorrow!!

@kell2126 iam cycle day 38 (my cycles are usually 34-36 days), which means I am 2 days past my latest and roughly 15dpo

No more spotting since last Sunday, not many symptoms in the week. Some cramping and emotional ness but nothing like wow that's odd.

I hope we all do too, it's exhausting all this guessing

It's so similar.
I haven't been cramping like a normal period. It's very light or non existent.
I took a sensitive test but my periods are so irregular I don't actually know when I am due on.
I guess I'll have to see what happens over the next few days

@Booboo30 do you track ovulation or use any apps that give you indications of your pattern?

As sufferer of irregular cycles I find keeping track of them helps me know testing periods. I am still not 100% confident OPKs work fully for me as I also have PCOS so I use them as a rough guide. I also use glow and clue to help me track all activities

I came off the pill in Jan, it took one and half month before my first period so I only have one month to go by.
My first baby was IVF/ICSI and my second was a natural suprise when we wasn't trying. So I don't really know what I'm looking for if that makes sense!
My periods have always been irregular, in the past I missed up to three months!
I have started tracking ovulation and have an app but no idea if it's accurate as not given it long enough.

Well my test was stark white this morning, so yest must of been an evap? So confused

@beanchopper oh the irregularity is so tortuous for you! 😩

I think I’m going to get some OPKs this month and test around the time I suspect ovulation will be. Winging it clearly isn’t working for me 😂

Well my cycle keeps getting stranger and stranger, so yest was another negative pregnancy test, so last night I did my opk as normal (cause I like to pee on sticks), and it was blazing positive. So this is my 2nd cycle in a row where ovulation has happened twice (because there are no signs af is showing up). We baby danced incase and opk was back to the normal faded line this morning.

So confused, the spotting, the faint positives (that I am guessing are false positives) and now 2nd ovulation of the cycle 🤦🏼‍♀️ please someone send me strength before I loose the plot!

So i guess the wait continues till af or another 2 weeks to test again 🤦🏼‍♀️

Every time AF comes I get this overwhelming sense of calm about ttc but I know the 2ww is gonna drive me mad!!

Oh yeah I agree, it's so heartbreaking when af shows up. But it's like the slate is wiped clean and the madness is over. But as soon as 9-11 dpo comes around the craziness starts all over again 🤦🏼‍♀️ it's a proper rollercoaster.

I just want to know what's happening now, but my gp is very unsympathetic and says I just have to ride it out, I have had some crazy cycles and I guess this ones no different 😣

Haven't read the thread so apols if I'm repeating what others have said, but light brown spotting happens in pregnancy and I understand that it can be a sign of the embryo implanting in the womb. I had light brown spotting with both of my pregnancies, and both times mistook it for a period! Fingers crossed for you

Thank you for replying, sadly most of the ladies on this post got af soon after spotting and I am just having a very strange cycle. My spotting was over a week ago, nothing but negatives and then last night a positive opk. So I have lost track of dpos especially since the positive opk last night, but I am cycle day 40. Very confused haha

I had a small drop of faint blood on my underwear yesterday but nothing since then. I'm exhausted and bloated! We're not actually ttc as we're a bit young imo (I turn 20 in a few months and my bf is 25) but Ive been having pregnancy symptoms so I don't know what to think haha.

Anyone mind explaining what they class as spotting?
In a very similar situation to others after reading this. I’m 10dpo, af due in 5 days but had brown coloured cm. I’m guessing this isn’t spotting? I won’t get my hopes up, it’s probably early af Hmm

A light brown or light pink small amount, sometimes only there when you wipe and not enough to fill a pad. It can be discoloured cm. Fingers crossed for you hunny
