Confused, positive opk and bfn on cd30

Hoping someone can give me some advice! Came off pill in August and finally AF arrived in December. Since then I’ve had cycles varying from 31-36 days. Properly started trying this month and have been using Ovia app since August. I have been using opks on and off but didn’t get a positive this month (although probably wasn’t testing enough), but had ewcm on cd10 which fitted in with Ovia prediction so did BD all around this time. Now on cd30 and last night had a lot of cramping and pain on my left hand side. did a frer this morning which was a bfn and then for the hell of it, did a opk and it seems positive. I’m so confused!

Any advice would be great!

It could be a number of things:

-you didn't ovulate after the ewcm (which I suspect because you would have a positive test or af by now as you'd likely be 19 dpo).

-many people get a positive opk just before the arrival of af.

-you're ovulating soon and this is your positive opk.

What is it that you think might be happening?

Unfortunately, as frustrating as it is, only time will tell!!

Thanks for replying! Sorry, I meant that I had EWCM on CD19 (which was 10th April - got confused!), so I have been hoping (in vain I think) that I’ll be pregnant. I didn’t realise that some people get positive OPKs before af, so I’m guessing it must be that. Ovia seems to think that af will arrive on Tuesday so I guess time will tell. If only I wasn’t so impatient! Thank you
