Chemical pregnancies and aspirin

Hi,

First time poster after spending the last few months lurking!

I have had two chemical pregnancies (back to back) and have been referred to the reoccurring miscarriage clinic.
I have researched aspirin and feel that as both the chemical pregnancies were early (4.5 weeks) aspirin may help. Mentioned it to Doctor who said aspirin can help but didn't go into any further details. Currently taking pregnacare. Looking for any personal experiences of aspirin and chemical pregnancies? Experiences and opinions vary between taking it whilst TTC and from BFP (I think this could be to late for me as both losses were so early.)

One month I thought I was pregnant and was told as soon as I get a positive to start taking it, so I took 3 days of it only for the test to be negative a few days later , I read the test wrong the first time. The month after I got a BFP !! So I think it did work, I was trying for 5 years before that x

You should only take aspirin if you have been diagnosed with a condition which requires it (this is what my recurrent miscarriage clinic told me when I asked about taking baby aspirin) - it can do more harm than good in early pregnancy if you take it because you have "self diagnosed" using google 🤷‍♀️ x

also my midwife said that the nhs soon are going to recommend taking aspirin in early pregnancy

Thank you for your comments! It’s a tricky one but of course we would all do anything to have a BFP and a sticky bean! Bk00 did you take aspirin whilst ttc? I have noticed increased CF whilst taking it.

@Rose05 I've had 3 chemical pregnancies this year and I decided to start taking it this cycle.

Yes the month before I got my bfp, was told only to use it when I got a bfp , but didn't listen one month :)

I'm allergic to aspirin so wonder what they would suggest in its place

I was advised by the reoccurring miscarriage clinic to take it when I got a positive test.
But for me it meant that I bled more, for longer and experienced more pain when I miscarried again.
It didn’t help, it was advice based on no firm diagnosis of why I miscarry which is true of 70% of all miscarriages.
I did not take it again. The reoccurring miscarriage clinic could not help me.
Hopefully you will fare better.

It looks like you guys are taking it after you get a bfp. Is there a reason why? I started on day 22 as I wanted to give any possible pregnancy the best chance I can.
